Not really. Normally that would be true but when someone uses the word hate and other negative derivatives at the extreme high volume that you do. Well then there is an issue. Your welcome - MJL You're a very strange dude. Never seen anyone that thinks he knows everything about everything. Oh wait, yes I have . Thanks and let's go Sixas!! |

A good example of what a good GM does is how Yzerman handled that toxic Drouin situation in TB. - Minnyhock You can also add Sakic to that conversation. I don't remember which player he was trading, but I remember him getting hammered for dragging his feet and look where the Lanche are now. Guy looks like a genius.

Yeah, you may be talking about the Duchene trade. Duchene asked for a trade and 11 months later he got moved in a 3 team trade. Some were calling Sakic the worst GM at the time. I think he got Girard and a pick that turned out to be Byram. Pretty good return for a guy you had to move.

The perfect example is the Devin Toews trade. They got him from the Isles for two 2nds. Isles needed to make a move for cap reasons and the Avs got a stud defenseman. One, is accurately assessing a young player and two, putting yourself in position to make the move. The cardinal sin that the Flyers have made is to be capped out as a mediocre team. It's completely incompetent.

I remember thinking at the time that they were getting a solid defenseman. Didn’t think he would turn out to be that good. It reminds me of when Yzerman drafted Seider and people were questioning that. Elite GMs can evaluate talent like no one else.

If you take the names off the jerseys this has been a outstanding round of hockey. I don’t care about the rival teams since we are not in it. So many great players emerging. O’Riely, Kane , the goalies from the Flames and Dallas. The list goes on and on. Just enjoy it. It seems like we all love hockey except for a few people who wake up in a bad mood and vent on here. It crushes me that we are not even close to playoff hockey anymore! |

No points for Nemec yet against France, bust! - TobyFlenderson
Trade the pick for Erik Karlsson! - MBFlyerfan
This place is like being at a comedy club 2am Thursday night slot watching old comedians trying to hold on using the same material they have been using for 30 years. Trying to hold on to past glory while the few who remain in the crowd just shake their heads and snicker. If they are even bothering to pay attention at all.
Incapable of coming up with anything new. - MBFlyerfan

I am torn on who to hate more in the rags/pens series. I can't cheer for any of them and it pisses me off that one of them will advance to the second round
Damn it - Bob Habib
It's like being forced to choose either getting gonorrhea or chlamydia from the town streetwalker.
Of course, maybe the rags are more like getting herpes. They can't just go away for good. |

It really has been a very nice first round. Nothing better than game 7’s, and I hope to see some OT’s.
There is a lot of good hockey out there!

It would've still be a good deal if he turned out to just be a solid defenseman.

I think you have some kind of bias. You can't be on the ice and your team has a 63% share of shot attempts, scored 70% of the goals and gotten 60+% of scoring chances and have the performance that you say he has. Simply not possible. I think you looked at the one turnover where the puck jumped off his stick where you said he was terrible. You missed the stick hold that should've been called. I haven't watched tonight's game. |

Dont sweat it neither is going past the 2nd round - hfc355
This is my hope too. I'm not sorry to say I enjoy seeing Crosby get knocked out just like i enjoy watching shesterkin collapse in the playoffs like bobrovsky does.
It's the little things that make me happy |

I being from the Centre of the universe am pulling for the Leafs….fun team to watch. I thought I could pull for the Rangers over the pens, but I can’t stand either. I do find myself thinking the Flyers are not close to any of these teams I’m watching every night. Dark days for sure. - landros 2
This darkness is only the tip of it all. If CF makes an aggressive push for the playoffs then this is our next 7 years of hockey
Best bet is we suck bad next year and get another top talent.
I don't even want to sniff the playoffs next season. I'm tired of this mediocrity |

Pretty much how I feel...... Except if the Bruins win.
Just a geographical thing for me. Rags out, Bruins out, Pens out. - FlyerFan16
This!! F all 3 of those teams. One day we will be relevant again and the games will be exciting to watch |

I don't watch every game but I watch enough. I'll add another xGF% was 55+ coming into the game. His numbers are elite. Combined with his track record during the season. It's pretty clear that you're analysis of the player, is flawed and inaccurate. So it's either a bias or just not knowing what you're looking at. Probably some of both. |

He had a tough ending to his season and has carried it into the playoffs. I’ve discussed with the Florida blogger as well. If you’ve regularly watched the Panthers the past two months you’d probably agree as well. He did have a good game on Verhaege night |

This game alone he’s had errant passes, just losing the puck in his feet, some poor gaps. He’s a much more capable player |

I watched quite a few Florida games down the stretch. Games I watched, he was really good. I watched 3 of the Florida playoff games. He was really good in every game.
