that i have seen some massively stupid takes on here, i'm sure some of mine make others lists. those massively stupid takes pale in comparison to this one person on the pens blog - picklerick
If I'm trying to look at it as a fan of neither team, the 2 that would be closest for any type of disciplinarian action would be Trouba on Guentzel and Malkin on Rooney. Even those I think they got right and maybe just a tiny fine. - mdw7413
Yea nothing in this series has been suspension worthy
I know I have a bias here, as much as I try to see things neutrally. But, I just don't see how people watch that hit and come up with the stance that Trouba went in intending to concuss Crosby. I will venture to say that no hockey player ever chose a chicken wing elbow as an instrument of violence. It's like saying a pitcher intentionally hit a batter with a change up instead of a fastball. - Tonybere
Cause he got suspended in 2017 for hitting Mark Stone, he is a dirty player who only looks to injure players duh

The high hit thing could be subjective to. I mean technically every hit Chara ever made was a high hit cause he was like a giraffe on skates. Sometimes players are reaching for a puck, or bent over skating, etc. These can all result in high hits that are completely clean

It's what I said the other day, players also trying to protect themselves from hits put themselves in more vulnerable positions then if they just took the hit as is. Not that I blame them, but the sport is so bang bang. Majority players aren't dirty just bad luck on these hits

Why I would hate to be small player. Unless you are really good at avoiding it, common sense is gonna say, you are probably going to take way more hits to the noggin against taller players

Yeah, but people overlook the advantage of a lower center of gravity!!
They get themselves in trouble calling ticky tack stuff. And then have to make up for them or just call even more dumb poop.
Last night the leafs (who idc aboot lol) got robbed twice in a row with phantom high sticks, down two men, TB ties it and tronna loses in OT - Slimtj100
The second one was the stick blade into Headman neck
In theory but a smidge embellishment on that one. It brought the stick up himself it looked like
That time of the game that’s a no call - Slimtj100
That doesn't matter by the letter of the rule, though. You are responsible for your stick at all times, aside from the amendment about follow through's. Those were both called correctly, IMO. Leafs have no one to blame but themselves. Same as us if we can't pull off a minor miracle here.
