Thank you. I've been hoping someone else might offer this stance. It was a chicken wing elbow. That would be like saying an MLB pitcher intentionally hit a batter with a change up. Just doesn't happen.

That's what I was getting at. He was prepping for a high hit. It would have been totally different if he just went in for a squared up hit. He may have still wound up getting his shoulder into Sid, but it wouldn't have been Trouba's fault at that point.

I would never argue the point of the elbow to JG at the start of the game. Dirty and unnecessary. And not good for the optics of what followed. But, have you ever thrown an elbow at someone? The way Crosby got hit is absolutely the weakest way it could be done. Not exactly the choice of someone who is head hunting.
Anyway, I know I am unlikely to sway anyone here, so I'll go.

Well, I didn't know this, but 30 years ago TODAY, the Pens knocked out the Rangers without Mario after Graves broke Mario's hand the game before.
