BoC raised from .25% to 1%
New variable is now 2.05%
360 monthly payments went to 411 instead of increasing the monthly cost. Recently payed down principal by 3.5% of our annual 10% allowed. Decreased payments to 390.

Ideal inflation in Canada is determined at 2%. BoC raises the prime to slow spending & lessen/slow inflation. The downside is if done badly it can throw us into a recession.

So happy someone took out that trash.
