The silver lining here...if we are going to break the curse, it probably has to be a game 7 curse break right? - torfc23

I may be in the minority here... and probably am...
But it was a little disappointing to hear AM34 after the game say "we just need to lay our sack on the line Saturday"...
Bro it's the playoffs ... you should've been doing that every second of every shift...that's the difference between winners and players just happy to be there... - dozerD10

Getting a Delorean is easy.
It’s the 1.21 Gigawatts that’s tricky. |

From last blog
I'm on the fence about this.
I really do agree that making the right call should be prioritize because too much is on the line for too many people to have mistakes ruin it.
On the other hand, you just know if there's no downside to a challenge, we'll see them every game for every possible debatable scenario and I'm not sure we want that.
I think the current system works well enough, I'd just expand it to being able to challenge anything, even penalties.
Oh and make the Refs available to the media after, to make them accountable as well. They are part of the game and they should be until the end. - Scabeh
I hear you. I think ultimately my problem is the lack of transparency on goaltender interference. I think you get it, and I think Cush gets it - but goalies are so not protected by this league. They are so desperate to produce goals that they endanger goalies all the time. Most of these goaltender interference calls in the playoffs so far that the "League Office" has called a good goal have not been. I'd like to know why. Everyone would like to know why. We would like a clear (frank)ing definition of goaltender interference - and then our team's coaches would have some semblance of an idea of when to challenge a play and when not to. |

Despite the potential 1st round exit, this is the first Leafs playoffs in recent years that I've been proud of the team -- and if they put in the same effort in Game 7 that they did in Game 6 but lose, I'll be fine with it.
You can see how bad they want it, and how hard they are playing. They dominated long stretches last night and gave everything they had. Sometimes giving everything you got still tops out at 50% chance of winning, especially when it's against Tampa (one of the best teams in NHL and defending champs).
In past years it's just looked like their Caresi was low. This year feels different. I can see they really are giving everything they got. |
