This is such a myth, they have no more no money than any other competitive team. You move Nylander, Holl and Kerfoot, find a home for Mrazek and there's 16+ million available before you even take your own free agents off the roster.

While true it WAS the right call BUT they utterly facked up not calling interference that lead to Tampa’s 3 on 2 where they scored the first goal. Tampa player pinned our guy to the ice holding him allowing that chance. They blow the second with Killorn holding Muzzins stick which if called wouldnt have been the second and game winning goal.

The reffing was crap. Period.

Both teams played hard. Was a hell of a series but Leafs failed to get it done long before game 7 too.

I truly do wonder… if TSN and Sportsnet actually decided to pull back on their relentless Leafs coverage… would this team be better?

Tremendous pressure put on the club from expectations laid out by media all day, every day.

If these networks actually chilled on their Leafs coverage and didn’t feel the need to pander to their every move and report on what guys are eating for breakfast… their would be a lot less pressure and their would be a TON less hate from every other market across Canada.

Easy to trade Willy in offseason where teams can adjust the cap before the season starts and go over 10%. And Dubas was more vocal on Willy so thinking yes he could be the key guy moved.
