I'm good with that. I just don't think it's gonna be close. I also think Makita is the only guy I've seen so far on the other thread that has the Oilers over the Flames. Maybe time for you boys to put your differences aside and dust off the blue and orange pom poms for a series.
Not sure if you're into Hip Hop but I got a copy of Fugees - The Score on vinyl this weekend. One of my faves. Gonna break it open right now. - Load Management
After watching STL put Minny away easily I think they will battle. STL can at least squeak out two wins but doubtfully three for a 7 game series.
As far as the BoA I want Edm to win but realistically CGY is deeper with better D and Goalie. But Smith's numbers are better than folks think so he might have something to say Smith knows this is his last kick at the 'ol can. I have CGY in 7 they should get punted easily by COL.
Not a huge hip hop guy mostly older rap if anything. But i'll give that a listen anyways always looking for different stuff. Funny enough I just had NWA-Straight Outa Compton spinning last weekend for the GF she likes some of that stuff. Hevyweight vinyl sounds quite good. Plus the movie was decent as well. better than I'd thought it would be.

Looking forward to the “Battle of Alberta”….for some reason? Probably just memories from the 80’s. I think I read they had five series back then and Calgary only beat them once, in 1986. As I’ve also said, if it wasn’t for the others I think the Flames would have three Stanley cups.

Myers isn't going anywhere for the time being. You don't create a hole on the right side when there's already a huge one that needs filling. - Load Management
Very True plus Boudreau speaks very highly of him. Leans on him alot for big minutes. |

Exactly, how do you expect them to hire a third zamboni driver in this economy? Myers spends so much time flailing around on the ice he practically cleans the thing himself.
If there were good UFA options at RHD this year I could seem them easily getting rid of Myers. But it'd be hard with no one to bring in. OEL to the right is an idea, but that's a hole on the left that's opened up. Thanks Benning. - NewYorkNuck
Nice, sounds like you're starting to come around. Myers does cover the ice and smooth things out much like a Zamboni.
If OEL moves to the Right side he's probably taking Schenn's spot. Which is definitely worth trying.

I’m not sure how this helps your case? Which team is Forsley playing for? Sure, under Benning, some good late round picks were made, but none of them are actually benefiting the team now, either by playing or having been traded for a need. - 1970vintage
How does it not? If the previous GM's can put quality on the team or in the system, does Benning need to rush players into the NHL or make those types of trades? No. He might want to but he did it much more out of necessity in his mind.

After reading some athletic articles this morning, sounds more of a situational thing OEl playing the right. |

I see there has already been some conversation about Jim Rutherford's podcast appearance!
I dig a little deeper into that in the new blog, with some juicy nuggets on Boeser's contract status and Rutherford reminiscing about his favourite trade.

Yes, he does it very well with 2 on 1s, flops out and slides around to help clear the snow from the middle of the slot into the corner boards so the opposition has a nice, clean path to the net
If OEL moves to the right, you have
Hughes
Rathbone
Dermot / Hunt ?
for the left? Pretty pretty pretty thin |

He completely misread the state of the team and continually tried to shortcut the process by giving away draft selections and promising prospects for marginal NHL help that would put the team over the top, which it never did.
Sure, armature scouting was much, much, much better under Benning than Gillis, but he discounted all that work by handcuffing the department by limiting their opportunity and sending the picks they did make out the door, like Gustavo for Adam Clendenning. |

It seems OEL and Garland could be in play. |
