From what I understand, it should be about the athelete going through something and making somekind of a comeback. Price may never play again for all we know and he did barely play. He may get it because of his reputation and for the sake of trying to comeback, but I get why some people would point out that he barely played. - deadpoulet
Rehab from an injury, and rehab from substance abuse therapy...I mean, I think he at least deserves to be nominated.
Why is Chara there? Dedication to keep cashing an NHL player's cheque at 45 years old? |

One year without playing hockey...
At that age, it's a huge factor. - stinger67

If the Habs pick the big Slovak, it would not be the end of the world…. I think this can be a very good selection…. Nothing compared with the KK stupidity…
I will trust the new Management to take the best decision - TheInformer697041
Passing on Wright would be a mistake.
Not that we couldn't get another good player instead, Cooley, Sly, Nemec, Jiricek all look like very good players.
But I cannot see Wright completely failing. He's just too good.
Before Covid, people talked about him the same way they were talking about Bedard ffs. |

He is my pick too… As I posted yesterday, if the Habs do not want to pick Wright with their first, they better trade it to another team that is ready to pay the big price for it…
But honestly, I wish they pick Wright and make us happy!!!

Not saying Price did not deal with some crap and that's why he is nominated. But that crap might have put an end to his career. Can't really call that the comeback of the year. I think people know it's not base on stats. Most people anyway.

They will go with the centre there. It's not like it would be a reach like KK. He is first on every list we have seen that matters.
You never really know what will happen with prospects after the draft, but he's the logical pick there. |

Like I have said before, I hope they pick Wright and leave him in Junior next year.
Habs are gonna be a mess next season anyways, why not keep him in a more positive environment where he can continue to develop.
Make up for the time lost in Covid, let him get bigger, stronger, dominate, then see what things look like as the 2023-24 starts.

The only way I think we would be able to have a sound opinion would be to have full transparency of all Price had to overcome…. But because we don’t know half of the story, I will not comment…
Anyway, this trophy is not an important one in term of hockey…. You can have the same in Curling…

Guess it will depend on his training camp. |

Yeah, I don't care if he scores 50 goals in 5 pre-season games.
I'd still send him back to junior.
Tired of the Habs (frank)ing up player development of their top end prospects. |

I see him playing 9 games before they take final decision…

Trotz to Vegas - Symba007
Trotz is a good coach. Gets bad teams to look good playing a strict system. He’s not what Vegas needs. He would do well with many other teams out there looking for a coach. |

yeah, I get why people are so adamant on giving him another year in junior, but if he does play very well and adapts naturally to the NHL level we shouldn't freak out if they keep him there either, as long as expectations are clearly set between him and the team. |

First overall centres will be in the nhl in their draft year 99% of the time. |

Power stayed in the NCAA for one year, depends what the team wants him to do. I guess they will decide during training camp or after 9 games in regular season |
