Was their initial contract offer of 3 / 15 ever confirmed? If it was true than he is a gonner. I also think he will be back if for no other reason than they don't have any other options. They don't have the cap space to land multiple resources and the cupboard is bare. I think their only real option is to run them out there again (and get the same result).

I mean when R2, Krebs, and Peterka are 3 of the top 5 playoff scorers in the entire league and Rousek gets off the boat 15 minutes ago coming off a blown out knee and has 6 points in 8 games, I think it comes down to more than “luck”.

Goal scores go through droughts at certain points, look at Florida. But I have seen a few games and he needs to get stronger on the puck. Hopefully he learns from this and takes it into the off-season. Off course after they win the Cup
