To the eye, the game was closer than the final score. (from what I saw)

Was an interesting game.
Living in Sarasota now, Bolts are my 2nd favorite team after my stumbling fumbling Sabres.

Panthers owned the 1st period IMO. Lightning were hanging on by a single thread.
2nd period was good back and forth.
Toward the end of the 2nd and in the 3rd I remember feeling like this game now has the feel of a typical Tampa game in which they win. There were plenty of moments during that time that the Cats had their chances, but largely the game was being played the way the Lightning wanted it to go.

I was surprised at the outcome to be honest.

Been beautiful weather down here lately. I love the beaches around Sarasota. I've spent a ton of time on the Bradenton beaches.

Agree with your assessment of the game. I missed the majority of the first period, but watched most of the rest. I'm glad the Bolts won, but I don't feel especially confident after this win. The final score is misleading, the Bolts relied heavily upon the PP (which is not generally sustainable in the playoffs), and Panthers had a goal disallowed. I'll always take the "W", but this is not a 4-1 win where the Bolts dominated the game from the first goal to the fourth.

Still think the TB goal should have been called back as goalie interference. A blatant butt rub of Bob's face before the puck arrived is interference. The refs must have thought that Bob would not have got it anyway....but that is really just an opinion....very subjective.

Just glad you guys are not facing the Leafs. I wanna see how the Shannaplan squirms outta their cap difficulties this summer.
Also after the game #6 Leafs loss, I agreed with a negative assessment of a Leaf fan on thier blog and added that the "inevitable meltdown has begun" And promptly received a 3-day ban! Oh, and the guy whom I quoted that gave the scathing assessment....received nothing. Yeah I am a bit salty.
I have had good experiences on the majority of blogs, and hope the Panthers would get their offensive woes in the past and make this a much better series, but.....yeah it does not look optimistic right now.

Maybe just stick to the Wings thread. They're in enough trouble.

Hell of a sniper shot by Kuck...through the Dman's ,egs, over the Goalie's pads but under the arm.
Incredible.
I guess the Inteference wasn't called because he wasn't in the crease when he rubbed his face with his stinky ass...Fumes must have caused Bob to close his eyes for that split second.

Leafs forum is 50/50. There are some cool and knowledgable fans in there, but there are also a lot of broflakes who get bent out shape easily and seem to have chips on their shoulders. I've generally been treated well in there as an opposing fan, but sooner or later you are gonna piss some of those guys off, no matter how even and fair you try to be.

Some opposing teams are friendler to opposing fans than others here on HB. In my experience :

Boston, Islanders, and Leafs fans are generally OK.
Rangers and Penguins fans mostly ignore you and aren't very accepting.
Montreal fans are friendly on average.
Philly fans seem to have some of the most annoying trolls in their ranks.
Florida fans have always been fair and friendly to me.
Detroit is also pretty open to opposing teams.

I haven't interacted much with the others.

Im sure the Philly fans will give me some poop now.
