Oilers had absolutely no business being in that game. Woodcroft says they should have won because they scored six even strength goals on the road....
What game was he watching? - Nodwell17
i think Woodcroft was stating a general fact... if a team scores 6 goals, that should be enough to win.... I dont think he was saying that Edmonton should have won that game last night.

Yah you are probably right, but the context and the amount of times he said it were pretty strange.
They scored 6 goals based on fortune. If you replayed that game 10 times they wouldn't have scored more than 2 or 3. |

The Leafs have nothing to do with this.
Your goaltending sucks, and you have no chance of advancing.
You barely beat LA without Drew Doughty - Rang
I think they have a chance. They might not, but if they do get by Calgary, are you gonna shut the (frank) up? |

There's always a chance. Game one isn't the end all be all.
We will see how the Oil respond tomorrow.
Rang is just pissed off because his team is an embarrassment. |

Why in the world would Calgary even bother to play hockey with Edmonton? Just go out there and beat them up. Edmonton has no answer for that kind of approach. They have Nurse who is injured, Kane and Kassian and Lucic would destroy any of those guys. Draisaitl is injured so just keep physically attacking McDavid and it's over.
Edmonton is not even remotely close to Calgary in terms of big and physical. |

Because that kind of play leads to a lot of penalties against…which is a piss poor strategy against the Oil. |

Gregor goes a lot more in depth on the stats than Sean does.
As for the fan part you can say whatever you want but no real fan would pick the hated rival Calgary Flames to beat the Oilers in the playoffs. You would be shamed right off the board at Oilersnation. A place where a bunch of Oiler fans actually get together and cheer their team. Not this ghost town of a site. - Oildrum

Kinda like when Zadorov tried to hit McDavid and he sidestepped him like a pylon then deked Markstrom out of his pants and scored? Hitting Connor is harder than you think, and if they are going to cheapshot him, then they will take penalties and just piss him off. Pissy Connor and Leon will make them pay. I would love it if the Oilers laid out lil Johnny, but he is also hard to hit. |
