7 mill and down a center during the playoffs. - bobbyisno1
I think Verbeek is going to take a real run at him... probably offer 4 x 7.5 more money less term...
so we don't have to roll Z and Mason as 1,2 as young as they are... although Mason is easily ready for prime time... he's already the best player in the world not in the NHL.. fight me.... He's crushing it for Hamilton..

Same birth year.
72 games 35 goals 97 points
75 games 37 goals 67 points
year prior a 40 point difference while playing around 50 games
Mitch has accumulated 70 more points in roughly the same amount of games played in the last 2 years. Do you really think this is fair at all? I don't. - Santo_44
I'm simply replying to a trade speculated on... I really don't want to do it.. As we are trading Gibby so, Stolli needs to stay.. but Mitch is a catch..

Very small sample size.
Not worth giving up Marner for. |

Small sample size though, and coming into a series late after an extended absence is a tough go for anybody.
I do miss Hyman though. He would've been good in this series; need to find another one for cheap. - gravyface
I would add that Hyman still had 25 playoff games of experience under his belt - he knew the intensity he was walking into. Bunting had 0.
We don't know what stage of recovery they were at and so on.
It doesn't take more than your own eyes to see that Hyman is a better player - but some of the plays that Bunting pulled off this year - his first full year in the NHL regardless of his age - were very encouraging that this guy has a pretty high ceiling and can elevate his game as called upon. If he gets stronger in the off-season and continues to develop, he'll be a solid player in the league and not too dissimilar to Hyman.

Tempting... Damn tempting. Stolli was really good this yr on a crazy silly contract.
He and Dostal together are only going to cost total about 2.5 mil...
Troy is really coming into his own.. 37 goals..
But having Mitch would be insane also.. I say yes... but hesitantly...

That goalie is a 28 year old career backup whose 23 starts last year were a career high, doubling his previous career high of 12. This is not a good trade. That goalie is good for their system. He'd get demolished on our team.

You are going to have to show me where I chirped your moderating because I really think you miss understood, I never intended to chirp any moderating today so I'd appreciate you showing me where you saw that. - Santo_44
Santo I don't have to show you anything, your an adult and you know what you wrote. I'd suggest you just drop it and move on, I have no desire to continue this conversation with you and won't.

In 2014, the Avs promoted a rookie GM who, after 2 years, fired the existing coach and hired a guy who also had no NHL experience but just won a Calder Cup. In the GM's first 4 seasons, the team missed the playoffs 3 times and then lost in the 1st round. Both still remain.

It's pretty much put up or shut up time for the Avs. When it's time to extend MacKinnon they have an issue. |

for sure, and they have UFA Kadri, Burakovsy and Niskushkin to deal with now.

24 goals and makes his line a whole lot tougher. Would go well with JT and Willie methinks. |

I'm not sure they do either, a player like Jeannot is hard to find. Never know, they may covet a high end young blueline like Sandin, Ekholm isn't getting any younger.
I initially thought it would be a good place for a Nylander deal with them having Forsberg leaving. |
