One of those “other sites”, (no not the Hub) was musing about dealing with the cap. They talked about a few ideas.
Mrazek - buy out saves $2.8 this year and $3 next year but leaves a $1.4 hit during years when the big boys need to be re-signed. Wondered whether retaining $1M might be a compromise to reduce cost of moving him.
Holl - ‘nuff said
Kerfoot - $750K left in his salary after July 1. Has a 10 team NTC
Muzzin - injuries obviously an issue but only $2M owing this year and $4 next year.
Luke Fox had a pretty brutal article on sportsnet about the end of yr pressers...He's none to impressed with what was said or intimated..

Oh for sure.. don’t want to show all, or any of your cards. Def think other teams hoping Leafs make a panic move.

I was embarrassed last year. I’m not sure how you can equate their play in those two series. Both losses hurt but for me, the criteria for assessing the team goes a bit deeper than lost in the first round.

The Leafs lost 3 of the last 4 games against Tampa, and didn’t even show up for game 4. They blew a lead in game 6 in the third again, and couldn’t really get close to the net in game seven, with most shots from the outside. When it counts, and other teams step up, Leaf’s have no fight.
