sure, but with the Weber and Price situations, and a whole bunch of other contracts to try and take care of, Hughes should be busy AF. would be a good time to get creative, and be on the phone all the time, even if he doesn't get everything done he needs to try. to say it'll be a quiet offseason for him is a bit absurd imho.

I wasn't really referring to when it'll get done, but to the fact that there are a bunch of things to work on, and that he can't be waiting in his office playing Elden Ring if he wants to make anything happen.

he can get creative, consider salary retention, basically making sure he's tried anything he could to possibly make the cap situation better. I don't think he can do all that in a week.

meh, MB was a buyer last summer. busy man trying to build something.
Hughes is a seller this time. and a seller of used overpriced scrap. not many buyers in July for scrap. he can try to be creative, perso I'd go play golf.
