I don't think people should expect much this summer after the draft either. Petry could be on the move, but otherwise...if the only thing you have to sell is crap, gms won't be much interested. And our gm knows next season is not the year to get back in the playoffs either. Pretty sure he's willing to be patient. He knows this is a process and it will take time.

2022-2023 should be a big time tank year for any team if you have a 1st rounder and aren't a contender.

Having Montembault as mtl starter should help. I don't think he's an NHL goalie...

really..? he hasn't been always stellar for sure, but I thought he's shown he could become a decent backup. considering how disorganized the team in front of him has been throughout the season, his performances weren't all that turrible imho.

I think Fletcher's aggressive boner is pointing in Petry's direction...

Anything under 900 in save percentage doesn't cut it. Sure, there are many issues with this team and I don't mind him coming back. But only because Primeau is not ready, Price may never play again and next season will be a huge struggle either way.

bah, he was playing injured... those numbers aren't all that relevant, any goalie in the same kind of context would have his share of struggles. the way I see it, goaltending won't be a disaster next year if Allen can stay healthy, and Montembeault gets fewer games.

Sure, that would help, but I don't really care either way. It will be a long one once again.

I know it's very possible that they'll suck as bad as they did last season, and that a whole bunch of games will just be horrible to watch again, but that's too (frank)ing depressing, so I'm hoping they'll somehow manage to give a consistent enough effort to keep the humiliating losses to a minimum, and show a certain progression and compete level among the kids.

Meh.

I doubt Dominik Hasek, in his prime, could even get a .900 save percentage in front of that team.

the power ran out about an hour ago, Hydro is expecting it to be back in 30 min or so... might be the most intense hailstorm I've witnessed, it sounded like someone was throwing rocks at my windows... I haven't checked the car yet but I hope there isn't any damage lol...

are you monitoring things in Gatineau Beach..?

No, I just saw the Red Screen on Tv and Gatineau was mentioned, I'm in South Shore Montreal. Stay safe.
