Yeah I highly doubt trading Miller would be the reason it would take 10 years to rebuild the club. Holding onto him is more likely to hamper that.

It's all about capitalizing on players that are going to start helping next season and beyond while losing some of our excessive cap. Signing Miller to a long term deal at a high AAV would be more of the same.

I'm not adverse to re-signing him. It's just that I wouldn't want to give him anything over 6 years, and I'd prefer 4. Obviously the longer the term the lower the cap hit. Despite his stats he's not a top 30 player in the league.

As much as I like Miller & what he brings I wrestle with the idea of signing him. He’s such an important piece to us but I don’t make those decisions. I’m leaning towards he’ll be moved. JR has been trying to create a max return & he’ll pull the trigger imo. Idk if an offseason move unless JR/PA gets their price my guess is it will drag out being not an extension unless Miller gives in to satisfy the cap hit & term. Unlikely so looking at a trade around Xmas as the best bet.
