Tonight’s game is going to show me a lot. Brutal game one loss, Carolina is going to come out a lot faster than game 1 and on the road. This is a much better opponent then Pitt. If the rangers come out match them and get the win, would be huge not only for this series but going forward. Expectations changing type of game

The loss sucked but the way I see it we're fine
We dominated periods 1 and 2 and then played to not lose instead of win in the third and got dominated. In OT, we controlled pace and play like 1/2 until that bad deflection. If they come out flying, we'll be fine tonight
They need to come out fast again, hit their D as often as they can but don't get pulled out of the play to do so. Someone needs to light up #37 too! Dude is just dirty! The kids looked great and need to show they can play and hold their own end. When Chytil scored his goal, the five players on Ice were all under 24 excerpt for Igor. Average age 22.2yr old! Future is bright! Now can we find the following players and take them off the milk carton? #93, 20, 10, 18, 16, They need to turn it up a couple notches too to start giving the kids more ice time. Need to really dominate this game so we can take it to them at MSG Sunday & Tuesday! If we can past the Canes and then need to play Tampa, what a growing lessons for these kids!

Those numbers all came through late last series, cut them a little a slack jeez. It was one game
I do think Stromes NY Ranger days are numbered tho

Artemi Panarin said the #NYR have had to play a more conservative game in the playoffs, which prevents him from taking risks like usual:
“I would love to do some stupid poop on the blue line, but I can’t.”

what a legend - picklerick
The Rangers possession style of offense is not well suited for a conservative approach.

it almost paid off last game against a very dangerous team that smothers opponents. we were a kakko misfire away from taking a 2-0 lead. they probably have to turn the dial slightly more towards the possession side, especially after taking a lead, but not by much. or it's possible the Canes got it going after 40 min and aren't going to look back no matter how we come at them

They got over whatever nerves there were after beating the pens. You could see how much more detailed and aware the play overall was last game. That should help. I really think that’s why the pens series was such a cluster(frank) at times. Now they’ve settled down for the most part.
No matter what tonight they still haven’t necessarily lost much in the series, but can’t falter at home. That’s gonna be the key, 3/0 at MSG is 100% necessary imo.
