The Penguins re-signed Bryan Rust for 6 years with a $5.125 AAV.

I think the Rangers could be in on Toews in the summer (provided they eat half). We def have prospects to send that way. There was some rumors around the time of the Kyle Beach situation of the Rangers being interested

Faceoffs are killing them right now, and who better to get then Toews

- Slimtj100

So what you are saying is both Kane and Toews to the Rags?

Which prospects? I could see the Hawks retaining 50% to sweeten the deal.

A bad contract would have to come back if both would go there.
1st 2023 2nd 2024 nemeth chytil ottmann lundquist or Zachary Jones krastov or cully for towes and Kane both 50% retained and 3rd doubt this happens.

I’d take Othamann, but I doubt the Rangers want to give him up.

I can see Toews to the Peg. They need centers especially if Scheifflr wants out, and they don’t resign Stasny. He can play second line behind Dubois.

If Toews leaves he’ll want to go to a contender, the Jets aren’t that.

True. I know if Bergeron retired or wants to end his career with
Montreal , Marek has Toews in Boston.

They are going to destroy Girard in this series.

Bowness has said he's not retiring

Hey, utter Wiz!

I think Ric Bowness is perfect as a place holder.

I am thoroughly convinced they will not make major additions, just subtractions for the tank.

Believe me, since I was little kid. (seems like yesterday0
, I always respected all the injuries that guys played through in the playoffs.
The older guys with talked to the uppity ups with Hawks and other people in the know and and many times I knew about the injuries as they played on...not so much now.

But when Hagel leaves and all I hear is keep the boot on for three days, I keep thinking how does that NOT affect his type of play?

These warriors are why I watch. Girard has our respect, and yours I know.

And each and everyone of these BODY shot blockers...

oh, and from the guy who used to mute or fast forward intermission reports...I LOVE Paul Biz...his passion partiality and down to earth love of the game exudes.

I love that so much of this Toews to Bruins rationale is he would be unencumbered by a captaincy or tutelage of youngsters....

If there is any truth to this, why not hand the captaincy to whichever slomo is staying? Or go three Alternates?

And taking an entire team on his back as his disciples?

Well, he can drop the pressure on that one as there is little here playing forward that he needs uplift...that part of the rebuild is ongoing...unless he is giving Lafferty shooting lessons, Kurashev toughness training, and Borgeström, Raddysh and Katchouk every thing he knows!

So much time in the day, and Tazer has to figure out his vegan menu fro dinner so I just wonder about this imaginary overload idea.

I KNOW NOTHING, except we need players either young already playing in the league ones and a crapload of new ones via picks...

Remember, they have to sell tickets, beer and popcorn, so as much as an entire shedding of Toews, Kane, and 'cat would be my desired rebuild, I doubt there is a concenesus in house for.
They are stinging form their blow cob issues after paying out millions, and they need little negative publicity that feeds the fan sheep away from buying season tickets.

That is exactly why I have to see this rebuild to believe it. While Rocky made a lot of moves that the old man wouldn’t commit to making, he’s still a businessman first and foremost. I’m thinking that they keep Kane, Dcat, and maybe even Toews, and keep adding young players to the team, I do not see them doing a complete teardown. What they do the next few months should paint a picture for us.

Completely agree. Professional hockey players amaze me with some of the stuff they play through. Patrice Bergeron in the 2013 Final against the Hawks is a prime example. Just busting chops on Gerard - if he doesn't play, it is because he can't do so.

I agree as well. I pulled a rib cage muscle once and I could hardly move, it hurt to breathe, laugh, cough, etc. I couldn’t imagine playing with a broken sternum. If I’m not mistaken, Hossa played with a fractured foot in 2015, I’m sure they numbed it some and taped it real good, hats off. I’m a wimp compared to these guys, although I did play a HS baseball playoff game with the beginning of appendicitis.

Me, the guy who's said, TB will lose because they lost their 3rd lien of Braclay Goodrow, Yanni Gourde, and Blake Coleman has found that Florida can suck as badly as anyone when the chips are down.

I sent an email to Florida on how to remedy the power play. (it is kinda of amazing that being a diehard Blackhawk fan and living in the Tampa Bay (St. Petersburg, the coastline and much nicer the Tampa proper especially traffic wise) and not wanting a three peat to denigrate our three championships by another easy walk to the finals.

But now I have an a strong opinion that Florida Panthers

a) have a team million dollar non-factor in the pipes.

b) and this talent laden panthers team is missing ....

a true putre scorer.

All these guy are beautiful and dangerous but simply not NHL snipers.

Huberdeau and Barkov are great...in their roles in the season...but they ain't got them a DeBrincat.

If I was the hawk GM I would be willing to take their next two first rounders and "except the ten million contract of this crappy Russian goalie as a place holder as the forts part of the payment on DeBrincat.

Of course I want more....butv it's get this far in the talking before going farther....

What if I told ya' 'the Blackhawks thought K'Andre Miller would be there when the picked Nicolas Beaudin, so they stuck with defense with the pick asnthey felt the forward class and emptied for sooner than later help...
