When can Flyer fans expect the Zac Mac ext?
Bill if you could pick any coach to takeover who would you take? Doesn't matter if he is currently employed.

Genius says blaming Weegar is absurd? Come on dude, hockey isn't played by robots or on spread sheets. There is a human element to react to different situations. Weegar made a terrible read with the clock ticking down in the game. I guess all the TNT analysts with OVER 2,000 games of NHL experience are wrong too? We bow to your existence. |

It is as simple as that. Nothing to dissect any further.
Though Weeger had great underlying metrics against the Caps. That proves he had a solid series. For someone who didn't watch at all I suppose.

Seeler!!! Here comes the Cup!! In all seriousness I'm totally indifferent to this signing. I feel that the Flyers will be 10 points better and better on defense next year simply by removing that clown Yandle from the lineup. |

Seeler was signed as a 7th or 8th defenseman, nothing more. He is a good guy and players hard but is limited in his ability. I have no problem with this signing. |

I saw it as a world class pass by a world class player. Tough to defend perfectly against that. |

No reason to have a problem with it. As long as he is the 7th defenseman.

Tired of the nice guy plays hard mantra. None of that translates to on ice success on this flyers team.
Please give Zac a 3 year deal Chuck. You can do it.

I would be surprised, and slightly irked, if that happened. Fletcher has acknowledged the team needs to get faster and more skilled up front, thus I would hope he would save this roster spot for a player with more upside. I love Zac and the energy he brings out there, and maybe as a 13th forward he makes sense, where he can be inserted into the lineup when the Flyers are playing a heavier and more physical team. However, I would rather have my regular 12 forward spots, minus the veterans, be reserved for players with skill, youth and speed. |

One of Bundy’s quotes in yesterday’s Nasty Knuckle’s pod cast resonated with me with the Seeler signing and his use along side Yandle. Bundy talked of a game in 1999 when the Flyers had lost 10 or so games in a row. The GM, Clarke came into the dressing room and ripped everyone….Bundy thought he had escaped Clarke’s scorn….not so fast. He turned to Bundy and said “ poor Eric Desjardin, he has to play with you every (frank)ing shift”. Pure gold. Playing along side Yandle would not have been easy for any d partner last year. |

Still don’t leave the front with under 5 seconds left to chase a guy BEHIND THE NET. You can talk about whatever shifts were suppose to happen but the situation takes precedence here. Weegar made a poor choice and may have just cost his team the series. |

After Matt Patricia won a super bowl with New England as their defensive Coordinator, the Detroit Lions hires him to be their head coach for a couple seasons. The Lions tried to do things that “New England Patriots Way”. The Lions even brought over former Patriots players. Of course it failed. The Lions are still the Lions. My question is, what about The Minnesota Wild was ever so great, we have to take from them and bring it here. |

Exactly! This and in general if the Flyers have to play Seeler in more than 25% of the their games, there is a good chance the team is in trouble. |

This cracks me up. He is out there making himself look busy while accomplishing nothing. He offers no value to any team trying to win. He will kill whoever else is on his line offensively and defensively.
He will get at least a 2 year deal. No doubt in my mind. He plays flyers hockey baby.

He does bring an element but I agree if you have big physical wingers like Allison and Tippet playing a strong game on the boards, with the ability to produce as well, then Mac may have a hard time finding a place in the top 12 unless he can bring more to the table. |

They saw Fletcher as a puppet and made the move. Goal was to make playoffs and get that money ! He did that just fine over there. |
