Pens up 2-0. Sid goes down, the game instantly slips away. It's pretty clear. Also, comparing the impact of Goodrow to Sid shows you're out of your depths. - Rinosaur
Not comparing Goodrow to Sid never once compared them. Said Rangers win game 1 with Goodrow in lineup. Sid is all world. Goodrow is a stud defensive forward with tons of SC experience which is what they needed in game 1 |

We didnt have Motte and Blais...every team deals with injuries . You blew 3 close out games where you had a lead first time that was done in NHL history - hfc355
I played your silly little game. We won more games than we should have. You're losing to Carolina because you couldn't beat an inferior team.
When is Gallant going to put bounties out on Aho and Raanta? |

We won less games than we should have. Biz was right. The Rangers are fugazies. Shesterkin showed up in game 7 when it counted, but was average the whole series. The Pens should have won in 4 or 5 games if healthy. |

Losing still stings I guess. Your team D stinks.. your goaltending is average...Sid..Guentzel and Letang are elite/superstar. Malkin is a no show in big games - hfc355
🤡
It stung for like 10 seconds. I've seen 5 cups raised and the last 16 years alone are a hockey blessing, let alone seeing Mario, Jags and co in their days. It's obvious you're in here stung from being down 2-0 in the 2nd round, with only 1 goal, which is pathetic in the playoffs, but having no Carolina fans around to take it out on, so swinging back to us to recapture that 1st round glory. Glory that everyone and their dog, including most Rangers fans themselves, agree probably shouldn't of even had. hahaha
Your team isn't close as you think it is. Their team D truly does stink, they are not good at even strength. A Demi God season from your starter has masked and diluted a lot of things. Pens had one of the best (top 10) overall team Ds regular season and round 1. |

Not stung by being down 2-0 . Fact is they accomplished what they needed to accomplish. Win a series and gain some playoff experience. Fact is they arent winning the CUP and better to lose in this round so they keep their 1st rd pick. Hope you guys bring back the old gang for 3 more season it will be like the last 4. |

Dude, go post on Carolina's board how you have the best goalie in the league and Carolina is lucky to have one two games and if wasn't for injuries to 4th liners and 3rd paring dmen you guys would be dominating, what a joke! Are all ny fans this dense!!!

We got a ton of bounces in games three and four. We were lucky to win game three blowing a three goal lead. Good teams don't consistently blow leads, especially multi-goal leads.
Game five you can point to the hit on Sid. As I said before, clean, dirty, or something in between that was the turning point.
The Rangers may not be a good team, but we aren't either. |

There's only so much you can expect a team to do without their best players. If it didn't matter, we wouldn't need Sid, Rakell, Jarry or DeSmith and we could just roll with ERod as our #1C |

I think people carrying this narrative that they are not a good team base it all on the month or so before the playoffs, a period of time in which a stomach bug ripped through the locker room making pretty much every player miss at least a game, and ignore the fact of who they were without in that series. Pens were one of the best 5 on 5 most of the season, had a top 3 PK all season and after a horrible first half of season had a top 10 PP the second half of the season. They also had a starter who was in Vezina convos up until the last month or so before playoffs. |

We tried that, he lead us into seventh place.
I didn't expect this team to win with a healthy roster. Not having your best players is no excuse for ERod taking a selfish penalty in game six. Pettersson, Marino and whoever else not communicating when Pettersson lost his lid and Marino turning the puck over. McGinn being the lone Penguin back in overtime. These are all thngs that come up in every game. Lack of discipline, communication, and situational awareness have nothing to do with talent. I expect NHL players to do the right thing when confronted with these decisions. |

You're defense is young. Forwards not so much. Lafreniere, Kakko, and Chytil are the only guys under 26. |

Really? Goodrow, Strome, and Zibanejad appear to be 29, and Kreider 31.
Be that as it may. I can see Zibanejad and Panarin playing strong for a couple more years. How about Kreider is he going to come close to this year ever again? |

That’s a really good deal. Really helpful in the attempt to resign the big two. Make some trades and maybe we can even keep Rakel |
