Didn’t say he was going broke just that I’m enjoying watching him set himself on fire

and Hossa jock has made him expendable.
he can use this till his contract is up

- dmnted

Hossa had to effectively retire to get the cream - otherwise no cream no relief.

should be spraying Mrazek's jock and undergarments in spores and slightly warm bog water

meh...our team was the worst in the league...not like we have anything to brag about
- Symba007

before the draft

Nylander, Sandin

Anderson(.5M retained), Romanov 3rd 4th

Habs get desperately needed scoring and genuine skill at young age on the back end, Leafs get less skill but more will and a similarly aged but more robust D-man

picks to balance out

overall CAP difference negligible

and before any Leaf's doinks asked... no Anderson does NOT play with Matthews and Marner.

c'mon... its Friday night of a long weekend... joint is done...

I'd share but... I'd fear that you might lose mental clarity

I think that should be a suspension every time and the coach should be able to call a review.

Leafs could probably get Foegele or RNH back for Mrazek after this start…

Pass on both forwards. Sandin worth keeping. Lily a trade chip.
- BlackSwan

lolegren should stay. he can play defense. someone just has to add weight pile to his off-season training regimen of soccer👍

busteen is just a littler version of really(?) so if dufuss won’t trade one of ze’s banana republic shopping budz for some grownups who can handle themselves and their teammates on the ice; he should keep lolegren👍🏿

Serious question - who was worse that played every game? This is not a particularly hot take.
- fifty__missions

Let's see: Kerfoot had a really bad game, Holl had one, so did Nylander. Umm, Clifford's game was pretty brutal, as was Simmonds. Blackwell was invisible on more than one occasion. Rielly wasn't great for stretches. Whole team looked terrible in Game 4.

Engvall had a mountain of DZ starts and was in the right end of the rink for most of them time he played. That in and of itself should tell you all you need to know.

Honestly, your takes are hot all right, hot garbage.

Kerfoot is the only one you mentioned that played in every game, even though he blew in that one game, he was far better than Engvall. I would let him walk. You need a few goals from the 3rd line. Having said that, I would also trade Kerfoot.

Our bottom 6 was outplayed, no question, but trading Engvall gets you nowhere. He's a controlled cost, and a useful/defensive commodity who'll give you 82 games of buried DZ starts, penalty killing, and mostly error-free play.

It seems to be the consensus that one of Sandin or Lily is going to be needed to rid themselves of Mrazek if indeed that is Dubas plan....

unless of course Mrazek is pack'd with Willy in a blockbuster deal.

- dozerD10

(frank) right off. You add a draft pick or bury him.

Trust me I'm not advocating for that at all... Just what I think it may take to rid themselves of the mistake of the Mrazek contract.

And if Soup leaves they may have no choice but to keep him for the starter for a while and hope he gets it together again.

Korpse resigned with CBJ. Only a one year but not going to UFA and I assume CBJ aren't shopping him so the price wouldn't be cheap.

I'd take Engvall back and suggest what Mike said with Kase. Make him the offer and try a one year deal and walk him to free agency.

I'd sign both lily and sandin.

Out:

Shanny
Dubas
Keefe
Nylander
Kerfoot
Campbell
Holl
Kase
Giordano
Spezza
Engvall
Clifford
Mrazek

Potentially in:

Darcy Tucker (Pres)
Sundin (GM)
Trotz (coach)
Forsberg
Kadri
Palat
Chychrun
Kempny
Stolarz
Kuemper
Trochek
B.Ritchie
Konecny
Wilson
Deslauriers

If any of the prospects that either don’t want to sign right away, or are taking too long to develop need to moved. Sorry Amirov, Knies, Woll etc..

This is just a template for the type of team I’d try to build. Every single player has to bring it every single shift. The coach, GM, and Pres all would have a ton of command.

Let's stick with Anderson and Nylander because the further you go get's less plausable. Even if they both made the same coin, the Habs don't do that deal (never mind retention). Nylander is a chicken poop and everyone knows it, including all the GM's. This is the main reason he hasn't been dealt yet. Some guys you just don't want beside you in the trenches. Exhibit one.....Nylander
