Wow talk about shut down playoff hockey!! Canes are doing it better than the Rangers, their experiences have taught them well. Yet again the series could be 2-0 Rangers!! Canes have neutralized Panarin and Zibby and have been pounding the poop out of Fox. We knew it was going to be a tough series but it is nice to be in a game where we are able to win or tie it in the final minutes of the game.

Round 1 was a coin toss. Luck prevailed. Round 2, no so much. It will be interesting to see what happens in the offseason.

I agree with most of this, it’s not like Carolina is getting a ton of high danger chances too, they scored short handed and failed on a 5 on 3. But yea, the Rangers need to be way better

I said before the series started, no matter what happened, Im happy with what the Rangers accomplished. However after giving up a late goal in game 1 and a SH goal in game 2, I am disappointed in the no show and effort put forth by the top players we have.

That pissed me off last night. Gallant left Kakko out of the rotation in the 3rd when he shuffled the lines. He was one of the few that showed up. Yea Kakko should be up with the Zib line. Need to try something new

If that Kakko shot goes in the Canes have as many questions as we do after two games. I haven’t been impressed at all with them offensively. They’ve done virtually nothing without help from us. Only one of their forwards has a goal, one was an eng. To be fair tho, A-hoe and Raanta have been the two best players in the series so far.

After all tho, these are the 2 lowest GA teams in the east

They should do something. I don’t get breaking up the kid line tho. I understand to reward them, but give them more minutes instead of breaking them apart. Move around the other 6.

Reaves needs to sit tho. I’m really not into killing him but he’s useless atm. Hunt should play next game, the 4th line needs to be quicker on the D/forecheck

Is Zib not a better center than Chytil? Doesnt that only elevate LAF and Kakko?
Then you bump Chytil up to play with Panarin and Strome... isnt that better for Chytil?

Your idea is you give more minutes to the 1 line thats playing decent, and still have 2 lines that are grossly under performing. My ideal is to take those players that are doing well, restructuring the lines to try to make 3 performing lines, rather than 1 with more minutes and 2 that still arent doing anything.

I love this but still think Panarin needs to be on top PP, swap him and KK

Ive felt for a while that Zib and Panarin cannot be on a PP together, thats why I suggested it the way I have it.
