Your idea is you give more minutes to the 1 line thats playing decent, and still have 2 lines that are grossly under performing. My ideal is to take those players that are doing well, restructuring the lines to try to make 3 performing lines, rather than 1 with more minutes and 2 that still arent doing anything.

Reaves should be the first lineup change tho. Start with that. And it has nothing to do with how he’s played, he’s just to slow to really do anything on the forecheck. The puck is already gone by the time he gets to the man

I’m not a fan of breaking up the kid line but I get why they would do it. Laf should be on PP1 for christs sake tho. This is going on two years, give him a regular chance there. Strome IS NOT the reason it’s so lethal this year. He’d make it that much more lethal. Especially after last night, the PP needs a change for the first time all year one could argue

I brought up the possibility of Toews early in the year but not sure thats an option for us right now.

I will bring up Paul Stastny again in this discussion. He may not be the best, but hes 54.1% on faceoffs for his career, he was 56.6% last year. He wont be expensive to sign at all and you can alternate him and Copp between 2nd and 3rd line based on flow and chemistry.

... and lets not kid ourselves, I love Rooney's heart, but hes horrible on faceoffs. We need someone for the 4th line also and we could move Rooney to RW. Cody Eakin will be a FA and shouldnt be expensive to sign.
