He is. 14 goals with very limited TOI in 79 games. Remember how many geniuses here said we would never have another 30 goal scorer?

So, both New Jersey at #2 and Ottawa at #7 are interested in moving those picks, for top 6 help.
Hopefully Allvin is is all over this. - Reubenkincade
- Miller for #2 overall
- Boeser for #7 overall
Sign malkin + nushkinin and run them with Podz!
Trade one of 3 first rounders for younger D that's decent
Keep the other 2 prospects....

If JTM's or? camp make it more prohibitive for the Canuck's to execute upgrades they have to move the player(s), question is when?
Hearing the Canucks are looking for a 2dn round pick for this draft. I really don't care who they move as long as the deal makes sense. Unlike JB's short sighted trades. - VanHockeyGuy
I don’t know much of anything about putting a hockey team together, I do know how to play the game though, that said, the practice of throwing sh it against the wall to see what sticks like Jim Benning used to do needs to stop!!
Just my personal opinion but I don’t think the Canucks are deep enough at the forward positions and their defense is tragic, moving Miller (or someone) is a must to start this thing over and build on top of the youth we’ve already acquired from losing so God damned much under Benning. |

We’ve got a couple of the pieces you need(C,D,G), d being the biggest hole(s) imo. If JR somehow convinces Malkin to come that’s a game changer. Still need D, but there are good ufa D too. |

I hope management pulls off the moves they hope to, whatever that may be. It will be an interesting summer.

Green will coach.
Benning will GM.

Green yes, Benning I don't think so.
I wonder if Cal Foote would be available? Fit's the profile JR is looking for.

Not start over but about 2 years of retooling & stocking the farm. This 1st offseason should see a big taste of change. |

So Miller for #2, Boeser for #7, sign Horvat long term, fans in shambles? - 1970vintage
I'm hoping they wouldn't gamble an asset like Miller for a high pick. Although you are probably getting a very good player in return, there is more risk than trading for a young established player. Trading for a number 2 would probably fall short of a package deal. If this management is going to be as good at scouting and analytics as people believe, they could probably do well with the picks that would come in a package and still have a excellent impact player to join the team immediately. |

Agreed we have to get a good player back in any package for Miller. Picks are nice but the need is much more than only prospects. This is where the analytics & pro & amateur scouts will make their hay. |

I bet on Florida before the regular season, I’ve still got a chance with Carolina and Avs, but the bolts look scary for a threepeat. |

I was just being a jerk. I don’t expect that a) NJ would trade the #2 pick for a player like Miller, unless they knew he was going to sign a sweetheart deal. Also Boeser isn’t getting you a #7…
Plus I agree, I’d rather get a 20-22 year old kid with a lot of potential. |
