You know what I mean. He's their first line centre. Don't know how long he will be gone, but he's a big piece missing right now.

yeah but it's pretty clear they still have enough elite talent and depth to win, even if he's out.

they are built the right way. big contracts, but at different positions, and for elite players in their prime.
come back to me when Vasilevskiy is 34.

I just checked and he's only 27, I thought he was older than that... this somehow makes me hate them even more.

It's pretty nuts that he's already basically a first ballot hall of famer

Too bad he didn't win the vezina last season because it was important to give fleury his good guy-life time achievement award

no kidding, especially for a goalie... he's been the best and most consistent in the league for a while now.

besides, Vasilevskiy had already won it, diversity is good. for instance the league could create a rule preventing teams from winning the cup more than 2 times in the span of 5 years...

Informally, this is already there…

Badman is making sure bad markets wins the cup.

The Canadian ban is also in full force…

And it would not take getting pick #1 and #2 for him to do the kidnapping, either.

Well, Betteman does not have to work hard for the Leafs to lose in the first round, they pretty much do it themselves.

I never believed in such conspiracy theories, but the whole situation with Arizona is (frank)ing ridiculous. that there's still a team over there while basically any other market would do better and probably avoid the humiliation of having to play n a 5,000 seat arena where they can't even have their own logo on the ice is absurd.

I think the real sad part is 1) they will not sell 5000 tickets, and 2) they cannot even have their own logo on the ice.

It is such a (frank)ing joke at this point.

I get not all markets are going to be full. houses, or even have high premium tickets, so I get the need for revenue sharing. And that makes a lot of sense to have a viable league across the board.

But Arizona is basically revenue stealing at this point.

that's what makes it baffling, basically any other market would probably represent at least an improvement over that steaming pile of poop.

Not sure if I am more surprised by Tampa dominating 3-0 right now or the Oilers being ahead 2-1.
