100% this. IF it was a suspendible offense then his past offenses might come into play in meting out a penalty. But you need to get to step 1 which is whether it was suspendible in the first place. It isn't. It isn't clear cut at all. People are flipping out because of the result and a guy involved in the play.

No suspension should be given. Two players, one from each team, were going for the puck. Watch the slow motion replay and they get tangled up and even Kadri's leg takes a weird twist right before everything happens with the collision. It was an unfortunate play. Yes, Kadri has a history and I'm not a fan of his antics, but know I think this was him playing the game and an unfortunate result happened.

The only thing I see in this video is the end of St. Louis playoffs this year.

If Binnington gets up and isn't hurt, it's a standard playoff heavy move. He gets hurt and it's criminal. You can't penalize based on results. Hagle's cross-check was much more actionable but I haven't seen any cries for action. Stuff happens.

kadri, Kucic....both psychopaths...they had intent to injure..Kadri especially sneaky because he saw the opportunity to pile in and he did and it looks very much like a "hockey play"....BS...he went in full bore..intent to injure...he got his wish...Lucic just isn't smart enough to execute that sophisticated play...both ugly players.

I have no skin in this game...but I'm no fan of Kadri. Watched this a dozen times and I honestly can't see any kind of intent to injure that would warrant a suspension. Looks like Kadri's eyes are tracking the puck, he gets tied up with Rosen and they both go into Bennington.

Did anyone watch the Pitt NY series? Jeff Carter 100% took a run at Shesterkin and got zero punishment for it. So in my mind Kardi is either just a much better actor than Carter or he didn't mean to do it. I'm sticking with the latter. Game-On!

You do know the NHL isn't above the law, someone could have pressed charges if they felt inclined to. Obviously they didn't. Old boys club and all, or maybe they wouldn't get another contract If they were able to play again.

What's more unfortunate was the Blues' play the rest of that game. You will never beat Colorado by scoring two goals. That was the story in game 1 and it was the story in game 3.
