The Risto Ghost Yandle shyt poop show was enough for me to ax Fletcher. I think Risto on a good team as the 4th dman is a win especially once you hit the playoffs, but he is one of 3 number 4 dmen we have on this team and our number 1 guy has a mystery injury..

I love the myth that once the playoffs come, Ristolainen's faults as a player would all of a sudden disappear. As if his negative physical value would go away and he would be an effective player. With more intense and tougher hockey in the playoffs, Ristolainen would be even more of a liability than he is in the regular season.

Trotz should be the #1 on the list. After that Im fine with Torts, Montgomery or that European guy people keep salivating over.

Improve the Defence but they shouldnt make any drastic changes. This is a team that hasnt had much playoff experience. Give them a few years and they will be able to make the push.

The top guys didnt produce, that cost them. Its the same with the Leafs. Worst thing they could do is blow it up.

Just doing nothing on defense would have been much better, short term and long term.

Now they're out the draft picks and a (frank) ton of future cap space with cement head RR and permanent training room resident Ellis.

How many cracks do the leafs get with this core? Its not like they are even close, haven't won a playoff round in ages. Maybe if they made it to the conference finals I would agree, but they cant win 1 round
