From my extensive review of coaches I still vote Monty for this bunch.

Chuck Fletcher ruined this team while he helped it, by seeding Cliff.

I’m not sure Muller would be a home run hire, but having met him e few times you will never meet a nicer more down to earth ex NHL guy anywhere. He’s the type of guy after you interact with you cant help but pull for… the Flyers could do a hell of a lot worse.

Here's the thing, she says she was too intoxicated to give appropriate consent yet she remembers the event clearly doesnt make sense to me. I understand she claims that she was pressured but thing is, if she got into a car in her state. She couldnt claim that she was too intoxicated to make the proper choice to not drive so why is it an excuse here? It is one thing if she is passed out but she is able to describe in full detail everything that was allegedly done to her. Not to mention the substantial amount of money in compensation asked to be paid. She was looking for over 5 mill if I understood it correctly.

When cases are settled and the alleged victim accepts a settlement, it makes it seem like it was about the money.


Yeah I see that point and I always tend to look at these situations with first thought of did you intentionally put yourself in this position. With that said while reading the details about what allegedly happened there’s one thing I can’t get around and why I tend to believe her…

I think she clearly while intoxicated fully was fully aware why she left with John Doe #1 and what the intention was when she went to the hotel (sex) as this would seem logical

The problem is …
Allegedly after the encounter John Doe #1 THEN invited the other 7 players into room and clearly things happened. To what extent as described by the woman may or may not be 100% accurate for reasons you stated( how intoxicated and how much could she remember with detail)
But logically thinking she probably didn’t intend to have 7 other players run train on her. Generally that isn’t happening. Could it have been her intention? Maybe but probably not likely.

More likely she was drunk and hooked up with John doe#1 and if things happened as she alleged well actually that’s rape not sexual assault.

This smells to high heaven as a major cover up. If she was crying and tried to leave room and dudes penetrated vaginally that’s rape.

This smells of settlement to sweep under rug by Chl and nhl probably because nhl players are involved and woman wants it over with and she is getting paid millions in hush $.

Problem is stories like don’t just die. The players involved will be exposed eventually at least to some extent. Or at minimum players that were around the bar at time will always be looked at “possible” attackers.

Maybe the players thought she was willing as most likely they would be intoxicated too most likely and maybe she didn’t make it clear enough she wasn’t really willing.

Just seems weird basically gets drunk leaves bar with dude gets laid THEN GUY INVITES 7 DUDES into room to do what was alleged.

I think it went done most likely how she described even if not 100% correct.

Track record might not be there, but if younger players benefit from him he moves up on the list of candidates IMO.

I have a cousin who was in the army. Him abd his group end up in Montreal tonight. My cousin and one of the girls of the group split off and did their thing and reconnected with the group. Later that night it ended up being her, my cousin and one other guy. From there all three stories drift apart but my cousin and the second guy end up fight a rape charge for 6 years, traveling from Windsor Ontario to Montreal every couple of weeks to do so. I believe my cousin never raped her as he swears but it doesn’t mean he didn’t put her in an uncomfortable situation. I believe the two go hand and hand.

Since then my cousin has screwed be over, so I wouldn’t put anything passed him.

Absolutely. Pure speculation. Anyone leaking the interview list and the ideal candidate profile documents would have to go into hiding and have to re-emerge with a new identity and some plastic surgery.

As a father of daughters I must admit I look at stuff much different then when I was young and stupid…countless times I put myself in situations where by I could have really caught heat. I would like to think I was always decent and appropriate, but I know that’s not the case. I just hope the girl has recovered, lives a good life while putting this stuff behind her best she can and the guys involved have matured and learned a lesson. As far as your cousin, hopefully he’s learned from what ever role he played.

The girl may have lied, she might have not lied. I don’t know her. My cousin on the other hand says he’s learned his lesson but I know different. He’ll put himself in a questionable situation again.

What is this supposed to mean?

Within reason I’ve decided that I don’t really care who the next coach is. So many roster and developmental problems I just don’t see the coach making much difference one way or another right now.

Flames would be smart to trade his right to the highest bidder rather than get buried overpaying him.

Flyers will probably trade for his rights and over pay pay to do so then also overpay for his 8 year deal lol

Within reason I’ve decided that I don’t really care who the next coach is. So many roster and developmental problems I just don’t see the coach making much difference one way or another right now.

I understand why you might feel this way but if there is a higher ceiling of potential in players such as Konency, Provorov, Sanheim and Farabee, it’s up to that next coach to find that second gear.

At this point, I'm still not sure which guy I want coaching the Flyers? If Torts gets the job, then I hope he makes the slackers on this team as miserable as possible. The Flyers players have made us fans miserable for years. It's time for some pay back.
