I don’t buy that. I do think refs can have a bias against a player or coach but that also is hard to prove. Reps shouldn’t matter but maybe they do. As for the money that would mean big markets would be in the finals much more often & of late hardly the case.

Numbers 1,4,9 & 10 imo are reaches. Yurov is intriguing but the Russian factor concerns me. Another team that can wait will benefit him falling to them.

Overall someone good will fall to us I’m sure of it. That pick will signify a lot of what management sees as top priority. BPA might not be it but at 15oa it’s not significant being so many ways to go.

Aah Pickering is big & all but a lefty & there is more pressing needs. Still need depth so if they target him fine. A reach imo so trade down scenario be a possibility.

Geekie has a good tool box but I’m concerned about his skating. Not everybody is like Bo & fixes it. Could turn into a bust type situation but could be a gem. Roll the dice?

Kasper is a rough one. Austria isn’t exactly a powerhouse & hard to gauge his true abilities.

I’ve my eye on many prospects but it’s very difficult & predicated on who could fall.

Kasper looked good in the world championships and by all accounts, was a solid 2 way player this season, in the SHL.
