The chances of 2oa pick ever scoring 99 points in a season is rather low. Then you want to give them the 15th pick too. - manvanfan

It's not about what i would 'want'...but anyways, you're right, they probably won't scoare 99 pts, but i'm ok with that, as i'd hope we'd take the best Dman available.
Nemec or Jiricek.

The chances of Miller scoring 99 points again are aslo rather low. You can select a top pairing D or first line forward that will provide cheap production for a long time. Something this team clearly needs |

Well If you didn't "want" it and I didn't want it, who wanted it?
I wouldn't mind taking the BPA available. Neither alone are probably worth Miller though. |

In the playoffs I'd rather face a 20 year old jarvis than a 29 year old Miller. Canes could be the next tbay - canucksfan1944
Especially after Trouba’s hit to his head. Suspension? |

You've got a better shot of picking one of those things at 15oa in this draft than the 2oa pick ever scoring a ppg. |

Whoa slow down there, that’s like counting your 3rd round of playoffs before you advance. - Shuswap Wap
Miller for Seth Jarvis + a defensive prospect, you guys are hilarious!
Miller for the 2nd overall +++
Millers isn’t getting anywhere near those proposals.
I see someone on the Flames blog is saying Tkachuk for the 2nd oa +++
Fans have no idea and always over value their own team players. |

One team won 2 draft lotto spots, the other team has dropped more spots than any other team. |

Disagree. 99pts is more than possible imo especially if the PP improves & overcomes the slow start. Barring injury with wingers scoring more isn’t much of a ask. Brock was off Hog was off & hurt Pod getting bis feet wet with only Garland doing about as expected.
Then again 90 is a fairly safe bet. |

One of Miller OR Garland won't start the season in VAN.

Kind of like you overvaluing draft picks right now. The supposed best player in this draft isn't expected to ever break a PPG in his NHL career. - manvanfan
Exactly. Not a horrible draft but it is missing the wow factor. |

There always surprises in every draft. 1st oa doesn’t guarantee anything, when you’re drafting 17-18 year old kids chances are for late bloomers to emerge.
Too many busts in the top 5 picks to list but still I’d rather draft 1st than 6th. |

very true. Not sure if you saw Fames last series as you are in mexico but man did they suck - CanuckDon
So you’re saying too many ex Canucks? Don’t know if you saw the Canucks in the playoffs this year as you’ve been out travelling and polishing your new yacht but they sucked a bit more.
I’m back in Canada, living the dream. |
