You just keep going back to the same thing that you’re pissed about rather then accepting playing a team in a seven game series without their number one center would be advantageous

Sure playing a team without their number one center is advantageous. You cannot control who is in or out of the others teams lineup. Islanders could have controlled their style of play and their lineup better. I just do not focus on the health or injuries of the other team. You have to get it done regardless.

Rangers are just sick on their own accord

They’re playing well I’m not taking that away from them.

Of course but imagine if we were playing in the playoffs with Corey Schneider?

Are the rangers getting lucky?? Maybe but they are playing real good hockey. If Igor falls apart so do the rangers. The lightning will readjust and come out with fire for the rest of the series. Lightning need to play super physical shut down the panarin line and they will win this series. Take your chances with the other lines. The islanders beat the rangers this way. Also gallant is known to blow it. Give it time

They thrive on the pp and turnovers. Look at most of their goals. The odd man rushes of 2on 1's and 3 on 2s. That's a lot of bad D. You need to not take stupid penalties and give them the odd man rush. They have speed and skill throughout their lineup. You need to hit those skilled players, especially their dmen like Fox. The Lightning should adjust for Game 2. We won Game 1 down in Tampa last year against an arguably better Tampa lineup. They adjusted after that.

We still get to the Eastern finals and lose to Tampa.

We wouldn’t have made it past the penguins the only reason we did was because of Sorokin last playoffs. Varlamov was putrid that round.

Varly should have been traded last summer when we all saw how great Sorokin was. His trade value was at an all-time high. Smart GM’s have the foresight to see that. Old useless GM’s wait till the guy is worth next to nothing

Remember when you guys thought Sorokin is on the same level as Shesterkin?

Yeah, sure, I guess, with some incredibly advantageous circumstances in each round. Ranger fans will of course lose their minds with whoever says this but there’s obviously no denying it. Playing back ups, third string, and injured goaltenders for any team is a pretty big deal. Brayden Point being out is a HUGE deal. It’s undeniable even to the Ranger fans who will prob go back to their thread and whine about my post.

If the roles were reversed I wouldn’t care if other fans said the same. Christ, we had the entire league saying we sucked for the last four seasons. They have a pretty great situation in these playoffs with some important players out.

I dont care who they play. If you win the stanley cup its all the same. Dont care how easy it is to get there.

Varly is not anywhere close to "worth next to nothing" .. They will move Varly if the need arrises to clear cap room. They have plenty of Cap room right now so if they need to trade him it would be b/c of a big trade or UFA sign or signs...

Everyone who is saying Clutterbuck was a bad sign must not have watched a lot of games. He was one of the best players on the ice for Islanders despite being injured. He was a great re-sign.

Martin definetely didn't have a great year, but I still don't have an issues with him being on this roster at that price. All of the "cap issues" guys obsess about our 4th line but without that line we don't get to ECF twice.

nice to see RangerDanger has come out of hiding .. been unable to troll our boards for years. My guess is that is a Top tick indo and u should all start shorting the Rangers at this point.

Same level? No.. he is better.. which is why your boy was always the back up when they were on same team.

Yeah Shesterkin has a ways to go but he may get there. Don’t give up on him just yet.

Of course. I would feel the same way but it doesn’t change anything I just said.
