1990 has to be the biggest misses for the Canucks in their history. Nedved over Jagr and Antoski over Tkachuk or Brodeur - LeftCoaster
I was at that draft, everyone was happy about Nedved then. 20/20

If VAN can't come to terms with Millers camp they will allow potential suitors to negotiate an extension with Millers agents.
Kesler had complete control over his destination and handcuffed the team. Millers situation the is the opposite. Your comparison and value is ridiculous. - VanHockeyGuy
I said the return would be better than what Kesler got so how is that a comparison at all?. I said the return will not as good as these crazy homer trades like the one someone linked the other day from canucks army/canucks central or whatever the site was. Those trades were hilariously lopsided. So my conclusion was better than Kesler return but not as good as homer proposals.
You disagree with any of that?

Why even bring Kesler into the equation was my point? It was VAN and ONE other team in trade negotiations.
There will certainly be more teams vying for his "rental" services this summer. |

Just as a recent reference point for the last time the Canucks had a big fish available for trade during the summer. It's definitely apples to oranges due to the NTC situation though, I get that, which is why I said Miller will get a better return.
I'm just not getting my hopes up for the return to be a complete homerun. |

I have no idea what they get for him or if he get's moved at all. That's why I come in here
What I do know is in the unlikely event the offer(s) aren't there this summer, he won't be moved. |

Especially when they asked Nedved in his interview who the best player was in the draft and he told them “Jaromir Jagr”. |

I believe Nedved defected, when Jagr went after he said he was proud to be the first "legal" Czech to be taken that draft.

Buddy of mine has a Nedved defection story. I think it happened in Calgary when the junior team was there. |

The Miller trade return proposals I’m seeing are insane. He’s a one year rental and it’s harder to sell during the summer. Some people are going to be disappointed - Nucker101

What if the Avs and Rangers meet in the finals? Those are two teams that could easily meet the following year and nobody would blink an eye at the thought.
What if either GM feels he might be the difference in winning a cup or not? Then there are other teams?
