How does NAK having one healthy scratch have any relevance to him possibly winning a cup? You do know all it would take for either player to get his name edged on to the cup is one shift played, right? Both players have done this.

Oh and by the way, tell me that story again about how Schenn and Patrick have nothing to do with each other and Schenn was traded weeks before we drafted Patrick. That was a good one.

I’m going to sound like an old fart, but I do place a lot of the blame on the entertainment industry.

Violence has become such a norm in movies, music, and video games. I’m not sure what people expected to happen after teaching kids it’s cool to shoot others for fun with a PlayStation for 3 hours, instead of maybe playing outside. Or getting excited to watch some kind of torture film.

Sick people.

That's certainly fair, but over the last decade, the Flyers are definitely one of the 10 worst run organizations in the NHL and likely in the bottom 5. From blown draft picks, to bad trades, to lousy coaches and ineffective GMs, they are much closer to the bottom of the barrel than the top.

What makes it worse, is that from inception until 2012, they were one of the top 10 best run franchises in the league and top 5 from 1972 until 2004. The last decade has been an utter crap show and terribly depressing.

At this point its probably safe to say they arent returning. There is no negotiating to be done, if an offer was made they would accept it as it will be tough for them to land a job elsewhere

PLindbergh31 vs himself as he predictably loses his mind and takes it out on this board as another former Flyer is guaranteed to win a cup.

Brassard and Braun were deadline sales when this team was already long in the poopter this season.

PEB was lost in the 2017 VGN expansion draft (always wondered how it would have panned out if he were protected instead of, say, Laughton; because I think he deserved more of a look than being anchored to Chris VandeVelde his entire time with the team).

The only one to cry spilled milk over then is NAK, who was claimed by the Avs after being waived. Over the likes of Nate Thompson and Zac Mac. And yes, I know Nate plays C and NAKs a RW. Fletch could have made it work with losing Nate, who probably would've cleared waivers, and it would have been less painful if they didn't. The important thing to remember is that the Flyers lost a serviceable bottom 6 player which they themselves drafted.

But none of this is anything to lose one's poop over.
