I think the only rankings that are really varying about this draft is the internet crews.
Coyotes GM Armstrong said he liked the draft and felt it had good depth.
It's obviously missing a couple generational talents at the top but I mean how often are you getting 3 or 4 CHL PPG CHL defenders in the same draft. Normally the euro players aren't this strong nor have the depth of this class. - manvanfan
Big year for him and his staff! With seven picks in the first two rounds they’ve got a chance to really improve their future. |

When was the last time the canucks had 3 good centers with 30 goal seasons? So let’s trade them lol - Bettmanhatesus
You fail to see or understand the “big picture” unsurprisingly. |

I can see where you are coming from, the win now strategy (Benning had the same strategy) but considering what Van could get for Miller vs what they are getting in that trade. I wouldn't do it unless Miller said NJ is the only team you're trading me too. - manvanfan
I don't think it's a win now strategy. It keeps everything in that 2-5 year window. You can't push a full rebuild because then you're aging and pricing out on Demko, Petterson, Horvat, etc. Just collecting draft picks that won't make the show for 3-5 years isn't going to help – may as well sell everyone at that point and start from scratch.
While I think Miller will command a lot, I don't think there's going to be this EPIC haul for him. But we shall see. |

Kansas City has a nicer empty arena, but I love the city of Houston, great place. I was working there one time, we were out for dinner at a steakhouse/sports pub and Billy Gibbons was in there, just hammered. My buddy is a big music guy so he ended up chatting with him. Fun place, humid though. Not great for arena ice. |

JTM should net a young roster player, 1st, and a quality prospect.

People around here are pumped about the Tempe arena project, as it’s beautiful and it’s so central. At the end of the day I think it’ll get approved by the city of Tempe.
The cities of Glendale and Phoenix, along with the owner of the Suns, are not happy though as it’s direct competition for their venues. |

The whole situation is a complete embarrassment for the NHL. I can't see many players being happy playing in a tiny, university arena for 3-5 years. Probably a good thing the NHLPA is so toothless. |

I read here that players in Arizona go there for the weather, housing, and girls – they don't care about winning or playing hockey much. That's why it's such a storied franchise. |

F uck dude you'll be crying about the team and Benning 10 years from now no matter what direction the club goes. While I'm looking forward to taking the next step here I'm sure you are hoping for 10 more years of circling the drain so the supreme whining can continue on a daily basis. |

Keep celebrating being a bubble team, I'll keep hoping they build a team that will be competitive year after year. |

Re-tool the same as the Rangers. Need to sell for younger players. Not taking back bad contracts. Currency to get needs down the road. |
