Maybe on the calls but if they had the secondary scoring they needed the calls may not have made any difference. So 2 years ago the big boys couldn't score, this year they fixed that and the secondary scoring dried up - next year both should be fixed then and they win right?
Or is it a 'lack of production from the blueline" that is year 3 problem and they fix that and win in year 4?
I am looking forward to a full season of Gio on the point letting that bomb of a shot go. #GIO4PP1 - Cush29
Next year, goaltending will let us down? Also, I hope not.
Zach Hyman Playoff Goals:
16/17: 1
17/18: 1
18/19: 1
19/20: 1
20/21: 1
21/22: 11
Sometimes you just have to laugh it off and accept that Leafy things happen all the time

Pretty sure they'll burn down the city if/when McDavid leaves. - AdamFrench
I doubt Edmonton would ever allow McDavid to walk. If he is not open to negotiating a new deal over the final 24 months of his contract he will be moved to a team that has the assets and cap space to make it happen. NY media has already started writing stories on why McDavid with the Rangers would be such a good fit for NY and for the NHL.
Not sure this kind of talk is a positive trend for a sport that already seems to be sliding backwards in the rating and demographic comparisons with other sports (especially the NBA).

The 12 minutes of PK for the Leafs was a factor, the biggest factor IMO were the non calls on infractions against Marner and Matthews. McDonaugh was basically given a free pass to cross-check, interfere, hold, board and knee the entire series.

having the best player(s) in the League doesnt mean a thing in the NHL anymore.

He hass a NMC, they might not get much. He gets to choose if, where and when he goes.
I honesty dont think he holds out to goto NYR. I honestly dont see him leaving yet, unless they really flop the next couple of years. |

Pfff with Huawei out of the way, they can take their time and afford the crosschecking passes.

I still think Paul Stastny would be a good fit for the Leafs if he is interested. Maybe he takes less for a contender this year.

Not sure you got what the comment was about???
I subtracted a similar contract to show its possible to fill a team with decent players when having that cap hit.
Im just saying, the way the oilers have spent their money has been poor, and bad management.
I know the Oilers got further then the Leafs, but conference and opponents matter. The minute they played an actual contending team they got swept. |

If they haven’t won a Cup, Holland holds onto McDavid until the last second. Why do you think he’s throws around Hyman $ and term? |

I disagree, Calgary was overrated due to being in the western conference. I never considered them a contender. Obviously JMO.
Ive seen people post that LA was only 5 points behind them like that makes LA some good team, again, they were in the west. When you have a team that is just mediocore, star players like McDavid and Draisaitl can feed off them with little resistence.
All that tells me is that Edmonton wasnt that good to begin with. Im not sure Edmonton makes the playoffs in the East, and if they do its a wild card spot. |

if you mean get lucky with a goalie, then yes. I agree
Have no idea how a team can start with a Goalie and build from there.
Shesterkin was drafted 8 years ago, and the rangers took 3 nobodys ahead of him in that draft. so good planning? |
