Bravo.
But, but, but...just add players! Let me try...
Why can't the Sabres add McJesus, Pasta, Breadman, Vasi, Fox and Makar!

Or trade Tage for Pool Boy!

Do Something Adams.

- IonSabres

I'm advocating for the Sabres to add a goalie who could reasonably be expected to play 45-50 games at a .915 level rather than relying on Malcolm Subban, Craig Anderson or Thomas Greiss

Ok.
Perhaps you have confused what I want -vs- what I believe will happen.

My most recent posts have been interpreting Adams' comments, the Bat Signals and the Tea Leafs to express I don't believe they will be making major moves.

Also, like several posters here, I see several young players that could end up playing in significant roles or flame out as 3rd /4th liners. I would love to have seen this board if Tage had been traded and had his breakout season. Do we truly know what Mitts, Krebs, Cozens, Quinn, JJP...5 young players

As far as what I want to see occur...
I think we ALL hope Anderson retires to eliminate him from contention. I'm down with that.

I have suggested Campbell as a UFA, Talbot as a trade target, among others. So I agree, and don't get the don't block for the young kids thoughts from Adams...F'em...let them earn it...especially now with both returning to college.

I have advocated for bringing in a) tough winger, b) a 2RHD, 3) tough 3rd pair D

I have just resolved that it ain't in the cards this offseason. I can completely understand it with respect to the F's.

So I agree with the desire to improve...unfortunately it doesn't appear to be happening.

I don’t think the Rangers are particularly great, but they drafted #1 and #2 overall recently and both those players are on a 3rd line with a center who’s also a top 10 pick in the last 5 years.

They don’t sniff the ECF if they “did it the right way” and made sure no one was blocking them from guaranteed top 6 minutes

When opportunities arose for them to improve in the immediate future they took advantage.

That’s all I’m asking the Sabres to do.

If there’s a move to make the team better, make it.

Don’t tell me in June that the cap floor is more important than winning

- sbroads24

They signed Panarin to an $81.5M deal the year they finished 7th in their division with 78 points and 20 points out.

But, but, but, be patient!

Somebody poop in your Cherios??
It is a right btw.

No, it’s not a “right”
It’s a choice

2 different things

And choosing to come on here & “relax” by b!tching & complaining instead of hanging out with your friends while you’re at the lake is just doing it wrong
Could’ve just stayed home & done that
To each their own,
but being a whiny crybaby is just pathetic imo

They also put up a 34 xGF in the first round of the playoffs and are out in 5 if the Penguins got any goaltending whatsoever.

Was hanging out, doesn't mean you can't step away, not like they don't have people they need to see, since they were in town. Sorry I wasn't holding there hand 24-7, again this franchise deserves everything they get, they brought it on themselves. What I choose to do with FREE time WHILE up at the Cabin is not your worry. It's a hockey forum if I CHOOSE to B!TCH about the team I cheer for and have for 50yrs or so so be it.

I don’t agree with some of the moves they’ve made but it’s not like they blew their wad. They have the ability to improve and have some young players they are probably gonna deal to remake the roster somewhat.

I’ll take the Sabres riding goaltending into the ECF next year any day over picking 9th

Sure, but the Rangers will have to make some notable roster improvements because you’re not going to get consecutive rounds of backup goaltenders every playoffs and bs yourself to a ECF.

They could very well miss the playoffs next year.

I believe they still have their 2023 first round pick, which means if they miss the playoffs next season, their first round pick will help fortify their team going forward.

IDK man.
That team impressed me.
While a #1 and #2 OA selection should be L1 material, The Kid Line played pretty well overall.
It's a process, gotta get kicked in the teeth a couple times to build the mettle.
They aren't far away.

The same team has maee it out of the East for three straight seasons

Everyone besides them needs notable roster improvements

The point is you can build for both the now and the future.

The Rangers didn’t ruin anything by making a run this year

They only have 14 contracts signed and just about 13m in cap space with some notable FA, they are gonna have a interesting off-season

If you don't want to be the two pumps and a blast guy, you trade for vets and sign big name free agents after you signed your core to long term contracts. But by all means finish in your pants during a good cuddle and blow your wad on Kardi or Gaudreau.
