These are honestly my first four memories of Ryan Miller:

1. Run over by Lucic
2. Goes into the 3rd period of game 6 against Carolina with a lead and loses
3. Gives up a golden goal to Sid
4. Gives up Icebowl shootout goal to Sid

None of that says rafters to me.

Edit 2. Obviously game 7. Brainfart by me

I'm not sure it even is considering what seems like their plans for the forwards and 6K.

It's basically bare minimum, a 3RD and a Goalie. Your not blocking anyone cause there guaranteed to be ready. Other than not signing a RD or G which might happen other than Anderson I say you are close.

I like the idea of a 3rd pair, hulking ass kicker to help the team in terms of physicality.

I doubt they bring in any forward they would have a problem with sitting, such as Marchment, and I doubt they plan on UPL being anywhere but Buffalo.

Like Ristolainen, I love his tough competitive nature. And like Ristolainen, he's not good. This past season appears to be an outlier, with his effectiveness much more prominent in the offensive zone than the defensive.

But he isn’t gonna be playing 21min a game like Risto. Is he the best option, No, but he brings something Risto didn't, he's willing and won't skate away.

I can't and won't stan for Gudbranson. If you can get him as a depth guy to play 35-40 games, fine whatever.

He's had two decent seasons. 14-15 and 21-22. Everything in between has been invisible to atrocious. I just don't need it.

I like the signings for G.
I suggested Campbell and Talbot a bit ago.
Getting 2 G's; 1 for just 1 season gives UPL the chance to play 60 games in the AHL to hone his skills. He only has 60 games of AHL experience to date and could use alot more time there.

Interesting discussion.
Is Joker a solid 2nd Pair, a good partner for Power?
Is Dahlin and Samuelsson a true 1st Pairing?

It looked good for the 8 games Power was up.
Is that enough to decide upon going forward, or should they evaluate that going forward?

Ryan Miller is the 4th best goalie in Sabre history.

Dom
Crozier
Barrasso
Miller

I'll have to revisit Tommy's stats, but I don't think Hammy is wrong.

Everyone will be ready, we don't have to worry about bringing in anyone.
