Im confused why the Penguins are resigned to letting Letang go unless he specifically wants to leave. The penguins have the cap space to give him whatever he wants.
Are you really that lazy that you can’t update the rumor chart link that still reads “2016 Rumor Chart”?
Also, in regards to your chart, Lehkonen is a RFA not UFA, not sure why he’s on your chart when what Sakic traded for him make it pretty clear to anyone with half a brain that the Avs will qualify him and retain his rights.
It always (somewhat) amazes me that Anaheim is never in on any of Ek's roomers. I figured maybe this year since Verbeek needs to spend $18 million just to get to the cap floor that he would throw them in there, but no cigar. Just throwing this out there, Ek, but Mason Marchment is the exact type of player Verbeek is looking for. I could see Verbeek being interested in Klingberg, too. But hey, what do I know. I'm not one of your "insiders".

Verbeek wants JvR...wants him bad....real bad he can taste his PP net presence.
Help is on the way to reach that goal of 18 million!

If PIT doesn't re-sign Malkin AND Letang, they might as well start rebuilding. There will be no comparable replacement for either of them.
If Montreal were interested in Kane I would be stunned. Way too much baggage for a young rebuilding squad. Same goes for the Sabres. Toronto?? Who knows. Kane is Kane. Is the talent worth the headache

I would think Kadri would be an almost perfect fit for Anaheim. He fits their gritty identity - much of which they traded away. They're in need of a center, they have the cap and they seem in the right stage of their rebuild to add a player like him.

I would love Kads here... and Verbeek seems like he goes for the higher dollar amount and less term.. which I'd be fine with.. 4 x 8

Same here! Kadri would fit in perfectly! Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure there will be a bidding war for him and he'll get to choose where he'll go. After what he's been through in Colorado, I doubt he'll want to play for a team that's a year or two away.
The Leafs won't be signing Evander Kane. He probably thinks he'll get a big long term contract but I think the only teams who would do something that risky would be Montreal and Montreal.
I can't see the Leafs taking Kane. Even if they move Willy the headache and baggage he brings would be too distracting and I don't think it would be a good fit at all.
I think he actually might just stay in Edmonton, might take a bit less especially if they give him some term.
