I would like the Sens to win multiple Cups not just make the playoffs. DeBrincat would probably help the Sens make the playoffs but the playoffs are very physical and small guys tend to disappear. He would also cost a lot in terms of assets and cap space and that means you're going to lose good players down the road who would do well in the playoffs because you can't pay them and that's not even mentioning the money they'll need to spend on a goalie. Forsberg isn't going to cut it as a number 1.

The Sens have their top guys. They're just a little young. They need those good 4 or 5 million dollar support guys to surround them with. By the way, Connor Brown is one of those guys. So was Nick Paul. Gambrell is not. Mismanagement of assets.

A big no thank you on Seth Jones and DeBrincat. DeBrincat will want more than Brady or Chabot and Jones is overpaid.

Let's see if Alex Formenton is the last RFA signed? That would be very telling. They say many around the NHL know who the 8 players are.

Not sure why you think ownership stuff is doing to be announced today? It's very clear, the team isn't for sale and this announcement today has to do with the redevelopment of the land and how it will be managed, etc. The Sens play a small in this, they want to be part of the redevelopment of the land. There has never been any info from the league, just as late as Game 1 of the Cup Final, Bettman said they want to be the tenant for the downtown arena. The Sens don't have the money to build the arena.

There are multiple ways to do this deal. What we want to know who are the development partners. I suppose it is possible they could get through the day without naming the development partner or the architect or even the design concept. But, if that did happen it would leave a huge empty hole.

....so....that was a big waste of a meeting. Why even bother saying anything. There was nothing said.

This is the NCC presentation slide on Capital Sports Development. Does not involve OSEG or any local investors at this time. I am assuming the Tipping Point Sports are the most interesting part of the group. We can assume that they are the guys who will take charge of the financing the project.

CSDI’s proposal was presented with the support of these world-class firms:
Sterling Project Development (SPD), a real estate management and advisory group experienced in working with professional sports teams on sports facilities and mixed-use development. SPD recently completed UBS Arena, the new home of the New York Islanders NHL franchise.
Populous, a global design firm that has designed major sports facilities, such as Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Vidéotron Centre in Québec City, T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.
Tipping Point Sports,(Mitchell Ziets) a boutique sports finance and advisory firm focusing on transformational public–private partnerships for sports-anchored, mixed-use developments.
Live Nation, a world-leading entertainment company that produces concerts and festivals.
