How many other coaches get scooped up now with Cassidy being hired by Vegas? Usually when one domino drops, many others start to fall into place. |

DeBoer ain't going to Dallas, otherwise he would've already been offered the job. Like Torts has been offered the job in Philly because they cant get Tocchet. Marc Savard or Jeff Halpern will be the next coach in Dallas, book it. Savard has Game 7 tonight and maybe longer if they win with the Memorial Cup. Halpern will be scooped up after TB wins another Cup.

Dont worry man, I think pretty much every Sens fan realizes what you're saying on how PD lied about it a year ago, only to repeat it again a year later thinking he can fool Sens fans, except spatso.

Makes sense then.

As long as we aren't doing the Leafs any favours again like DJ got PD to do 3 year ago. We are still paying for it! Crazy enough, there's a chance Connor Brown is gone before Zaitsev leaves town. If that happens, it's beyond grounds for PD to be fired, considering how bad he hamstrung the team with that contract! - Kevin Francis
If that happens, my goodness, I’d be furious and all Sens fans should demand for Dorion to be fired

Why?
We spent a very long time enduring one of the worst ownership situations in sport.
As the ownership situation now begins to unfold and, hopefully, resolves itself over the next year, it will heavily impact on the hiring of a new GM. Significant changes in ownership or capital structure of the team will almost always trigger corresponding changes to the front office management group. Just like a new ownership group wants to hire their own GM and front office, a new GM wants to put in their own head coach.
Does anybody really think that the Board put in place by Melnyk will permit significant changes in management or coaching while they are actively trying to bring new money to the table?
Do you think a new GM or coach would be open to signing on with the Sens when so much can change over this next year?
Changes are coming. But highly unlikely it will be before next summer. I do not think we will fully understand the new capital structure until the LeBreton bids are finalized and a decision is made on the viability of a new downtown arena.
My guess is Dorion will put together a blockbuster deal over the next few months in an attempt to ensure significant improvement in the Sens. I doubt he will be able to save his own position in the organization.
So, Dorion is going to get to do at least one big deal. I am surprised we are not more focused on the options and, especially, the negatives of doing a blockbuster at this time. |

Hey Kevin, are we going to get a draft blog in the near future, or is that more planeed closer to the actual draft date?
https://www.sportsnet.ca/...t-rankings-final-edition/
Sportsnet put ut its final ranking jsut now. Others brought this up first, but the more I look at it it seems Cutter Gauthier is the guy Dorion would target. I've seen him ranked even higher than 7th sometimes though so he may not be there. |

Like Shawn Simpson tweeted 2 hours ago at TSN1200. I hope Gambrell isn't playing over Kastelic! What was the rush to sign this guy. Heck Tyler Ennis is a far better version of a player that would play the 13th forward role better. He play up and down your lineup and can actually contribute offensively. Just take a look at Gambrell's numbers. Unreal. |

Precisely, this one makes no sense and like you said stay tuned for many more head scratching moves. The first one of the off-season already has fans wondering.

He wasn't happy with the McGuire firing, that was written about on a few boards. No surprise that he left.

Better to have fired your VP of Player Dev. who did a ton of your scouting and to have your AGM leave, all before the draft? Yup you make a ton of sense. How old are you? You certainly haven't been around the sport much to make a comment like this. Have you read that many NHL teams are calling McGuire to find out everything about the Sens approach for the draft. You don't fire anyone in that type of position prior to the draft, because anyone with half a brain knows NHL teams will call to get intel on another team. You make sure you don't have your AGM leave either before the draft. Peter left to take a job that isn't even close to that of being an AGM. So that has to tell you he couldn't stand working with Dorion. The primary guy in the middle of everything is the GM and he's the only standing right now. Before they lost both of these hockey people, Ottawa already had the thinnest front office in the NHL on all levels with hockey ops. It's pathetic, quite a joke. Clown show is a great word that many media members are saying tonight when it comes to Dorion, it suits him well.

Great tweet tonight by Sens media. But you sir are so delusional to think no McGuire and now no AGM is better, joke.
"When Elliotte Friedman said the Senators were going to hire more people for the front office, the hope was that they'd be expanding. Not replacing people who are on the way out" |

I think we all know that the Sens D will be Zaitsev, Hamonic and Zub on the right side with Chabot, Brannstrom and Holden on the left side. Sanderson, Thomson and JBD will only get a look if there are enough injuries to force the situation. Even MDZ will play before those guys.
Belleville should do well.
What I worry about is that since Dorion has the D all set he might want to move out the young guys making a splash for some "top six" winger who of course will turn out to be another Dadonov. He'll probably throw in the 7OA and Pinto or Formenton to cap it all off.

You said your a lawyer, so you probably know that when you fired someone, you can put a no talk clause in the contract. Peter leaving for Quartexx probably gonna make more money. He was just here for preparing contract |

It absolutely doesn't happen in the NHL, I know that for a fact. In fact, I had this talk with Eric Mac the TSN legal guy on the radio. You are lost my friend, yet again, what a surprise.

Watch that idiot DJ play Gambrell over Kastelic next season. PD keeps giving him his toys, rather than taking them away.

Sanderson gonna play with Sens if healthy. MDZ gonna be trade or bought out. I see yesterday that the Sens are interested in William Karlsson , I just hope not for the 7 |
