Sportsnet put ut its final ranking jsut now. Others brought this up first, but the more I look at it it seems Cutter Gauthier is the guy Dorion would target. I've seen him ranked even higher than 7th sometimes though so he may not be there.

Flyers backed up the Brinks truck for Tocchet and he turned it down. They were willing to go to 6 mil per year but he's definitely waiting for the right situation. I could see him waiting on a team to fire their coach 20 games into the season and jump into a great situation with an under achieving team that has a high ceiling!

The problem with Torts is he cuts players careers short. I have talked to many former and present players who all say, the style he expects you to play really wears you down. Those same players say DJ is the same way and isn't conducive for results long term, which is why Torts shelf life lately isn't long.

Weird how people are getting all conspiracy theory about who posters are. We are all just folks behind a screen trying to talk hockey.

The real focus should be on the fact the NHL draft is 20 or so days away from a relatively important draft for the franchise and Dorion seems to be the lone guy steering the ship with McGuire and Mctavish gone. Really strange to have virtually your whole management team leave before a draft. Hockey is a world sport. A single guy can't do scouting on his own. We've already seen relatively shallow efforts to select prospects due to the tiny size of the Sens scouting department. Hope Finland and North Dakota have some gems again.

I like Nick Paul and think he'd be a great bottom six player but not for 4 million. I'd rather give that money to Connor Brown.

Well said, plus that is the problem, who knows how old some of these posters are! Great quote on the Finland and NDakota line......love it....but sadly.....they can only go to the well so many times hoping to get some great talent. The hockey ops is so thin, thinner than any other NHL club.....just awful!

Honestly, Philly would never have offered him 7 mil, ever. Whoever posted that was talking out of both sides of their mouth. He accepted 4 mil, so that should tell you that 7 mil wasn't ever close to being on the table. Tocchet has been the target since Mike Yeo couldn't get the Flyers up and going. I know someone very high up their management and they said the only coach the would spend more than 5 mil on was Tocchet or Trotz, nobody else. They like to retool, never rebuild in Philly, that is their problem.

Brown has far more foot speed than Paul first off. Brown played hurt from late January onwards. If Brown could only finish some of his SH chances or odd man rushes, his numbers would be through the roof! Not devaluing Paul, he is great for his role, but I think Brown out produces Paul over the next few years.

Sens don't have the money, not when they are paying Phaneuf, Ryan and McGuire all to not be here! Its so ridiculous. PD likes to burn money rather than put it into the right places on this roster and front office. That's over 2.6 million that could go other places!

When an AGM leaves 3 weeks before the draft, that tells you how toxic it is in the Sens front office. The only common denominator is PD in all the firings or execs leaving now......says a lot about the person he is....I hope everyone reads between the lines when an AGM leaves like this!

Its not believing, its actually knowing.....if you knew what the board was able to control, you would know why. They don't control a lot of things, its a bunch of accountants! Again, so much you don't know....some stuff I will be writing about soon. I have sources that are ops, scouts and in the front office....plus other NHL personnel, a great contact at the league office too.....I am telling you, AGM doesn't leave 3 weeks before the draft unless he wants to make a statement and show the rest of the league how bad it is there with PD. If you knew anyone up high in Sens land, they would all tell you, PD is the biggest arrogant &*$#$ fill in the blank!

Well they gotta replace 2 huge titles first in Peter Mac and PM. Right now they have 5 in hockey ops. Easily the smallest hockey ops of anyone in the NHL! Then after they do that, they need to add major exp in that front office! Sorry, not mentioning any names right now, but I know they are making a push for a TSN personality, not Pounder, although they have talked to her, I am talking about someone else. If they can land this person that I know they are trying to lure out of TSN on air, then I will be the first to say good job. But until they even replace the 2 who are gone, this team is a trainwreck!
