Recently rewatched The Many Saints of Newark and I thought it was much better the second time. I think there were too many expectations going into it, but now knowing the direction it went it was better. |

Orr is the best defenseman ever. Period. If you disagree you’re either ignorant of what Orr did or you’re just trying to provoke people.
Hits to the head need to be addressed. It is complicated and will undoubtedly cause controversy but something needs to be done because guys like Trouba are head hunting and deliberately trying to take guys out of the lineup. That’s what the intent is there and that makes the league look ridiculous. I hear it all the time from fans of other sports: “How can they allow that?” I have no good answer. |

Cool. He dominated an uncompetitive era. - Feds91Stammer
Mr hockey maven didn’t Lidstrom play many years in the trap era. An era that many call the most boring in history. You know clutching and grabbing no flow. Well you SAW it so you should know.
Orr’s era directly because of him saw the game explode. You probably heard of Bobby Orr and the big bad bruins. They played the Hawks with Hull, Mikita, Espo, the Flying Frenchmen with so many hall of famers , the Rangers with the GAG line. But you got it right the playoffs were uncompetitive bores dominated by a beer league plumber👌 |

So not only were the goalies bad, but the whole era was "uncompetitive".

Nah. It’s not ignorance. It’s just not overrating players achievements from 40+ years ago. |

How on earth wasnt that interference against Trouba? I swear he has compromising photos of Bettman or something. |

It's a shame hockey didn't exit before 1995.

There was a hold - but certainly looked like he helped sell it.

The glass house fell apart. Have to be able to score 5 vs 5 to win in the playoffs. The high payday players for the Rags failed to show up |

(frank) the Manhattan Headhunters! - stevens87 Gotta feel bad for them, so unfair to have to play against a starting goalie |
|

Has a worse 5 on 5 team made it this far before? 2 games within reaching the Cup? Rangers couldnt do anything 5 on 5.
Better team won tonight and the series. Would've loved to have seen the Penguins-Lightning go at it for the ECF. Would've been a lot of good storylines.
So the 4 teams of the cap era are (in no particular order) - Lightning/Penguins/Hawks/Kings |

They were 4-4 against a team's #1 goalie in the playoffs! |

Kreider was invisible for a large part of this series. It is good experience for a young team. However, they were very, very fortunate with circumstance to help fuel this run. They need to add to get back IMO. It is hard to do in today's NHL. |

Really sucks Kucherov is still healthy. Shooting pucks at people at the end of games and letting your captain fight is such a class act. |

Is this like a weird flex for you?
He's been horrible in his 9ish mins of play a game and wouldn't be playing at all if Girard didn't go down. |

That wasn’t a fight in game 5. They just laid on each other. Laf is turning into a player teams hate. He plays chippy but you can see his skill. People will think he’s a bust, but stamkos lecavalier and barkov all started slow in their careers. He’ll be in the top 6 all next year.
The rangers have to figure out their 5v5 play bc they have the talent. |
