This team jelled and played their best hockey in a decade once Green was canned. You know, back when your head was in the sand and you were defending Green giving it to people who were sick of him.

Again, I agree but not at the cost of our young quality players. Before you explain to me we wont get prospects for our older players, we can for a couple of them and besides, moving young players for prospects just changes our mix of young players and vets to even younger players and vets. It's backwards.

A young player like Boeser being moved makes sense because of cap situation and need for sandpaper but it shouldn't really go beyond there for that age group being traded for the sake of prospects. Petey, Hughes etc are too young and too good to be used for prospect acquisitions. Good chance you don't draft better than that in the end... way too risky and most likely a wash at best but years down the road...

Between Miller and Boeser, a good addition of players and picks could be acquired while way better balancing the cap. Lesser players can be swapped out as well... minor moves.

The list goes on. The fighting prerequisite for captain is pretty narrow minded... it's not a bad thing getting a level of enforcement out of your captain but it appears winning leaders show a lot less of that than everything else it takes to lead a team to a cup.
