I've seen his teammates say in interviews that he is just an all-around fantastic athlete.

At what point do they say they’re not matching? I don’t think anyone is going to approach that number because why would they? He hasn’t shown enough yet.

If I was a team I’d offer him 3 yrs, 12 million and nothing higher and I think the Rangers find a way to match that. Anything more than that is not wise cap spending

If it was Laf it would be a different story imo. Laf just looks like a better player as of right now.

Well he’s first priority over anything else. If it meant losing Copp then we lose Copp. They’ll find a way. I’m not worried one bit about Kakko going to another team.

I could totally see this being an organizational decision, with GG taking the heat for it. We know with Kravtsov they’re not gonna baby these guys and hand them anything.

To me the only thing that makes sense about it is for next year, and to light a fire in him. He seems pissed about it so maybe it’ll work.

my first thought was Montreal, because they have picks, they've been offer sheeted and Gorton may wanna stick it to the Rangers and poach the guy he drafted

Seeing they did it occasionally I wonder if they’ll just scrap the idea of Chytil as a center for now, and play him on the top line with Zib and Kreider. They did play well when they all played together. It’s not like he cant ever be there, but they’re obviously not comfy with him there since they would have Goodrow with him sometimes.

In that case you probably sign Strome or Copp and trade for a 3C. I find it hard to believe they won’t keep Copp. He’s a good all around player and fit in

I get it. We made the ECF. That’s awesome. Was a nice surprise and a hell of a ride. I don’t know if he’s the guy to take us further for the reasons you yourself mentioned. But I’m guessing we’ll find out. Hope he is
