Probably the last thing Rangers fans want to hear is a Flyers fan point of view, but believe me...we would trade places with you in a heartbeat. This series was determined by a very small but important factor, not talent...certainly the Rangers have tons of that...but the edge experience brought to the Lighting. Great series, great NHL playoff year, and its gonna be a great finals. |

Perfect. Gives them depth and hopefully someone to play with Panarin, as that is up in the air. Kravtsov has still has to prove he’s matured and he’s an NHL player |

Great job keeping everyone involved and informed Jan.
Congrats to the Rangers on a terrific season. I’m quite certain no one expected them to play in the Eastern conference finals against the 2 time defending Stanley cup champs, irrelevant of the outcome.
I have no idea what happened with Kakko and Gallant. But the signing of Krastov to a one way contract may be telling. Time will tell.
Going forward, Panarin needs a winger who is talented enough to draw attention away away him. I’m sure it won’t be lost on other teams, if you smother Panarin you can worry less about his liinemates.
Finally, I think we will be amazed at the injury report that should come out in the next days, hockey players are a special breed of athlete. |

Something will come out soon with regards to kakko as to why he was a scratch. Also the injury list is going to be insane. I predict at least 2 surgeries for Lindgren and a wrist surgery for bread |

My off-season:
Trade Nils Lundkvist
to Mtl for Ryan Poehling. Or to Edm for Ryan McLeod
They need a better bottom 6 still. Dump Rooney. McLeod and Poehling are both natural centers who are better players for the 4th line than Rooney is. Big and young too. Not limited to those 2, but trade Nils for a bottom 6 center who can be part of the core. Center depth is of the upmost importance this summer, over anything else imo. If they need to sweeten a deal that’s fine too
Promote Jones and Robertson into 6 and 7 D man roles to play with Schneider
Dump Nemeth for cap savings. Braun can go to another team. Chychrun would be great but I’m not sure they really need to do that anymore
Sign Vatrano and Motte
Both are absolute gamers. Every game every shift they give their all. Vatrano looks like a natural fit for Kreider and Zib. I realize he could be getting a nice payday, but maybe he’ll wait a year to really hit it big and he can score 30 on that line. I’d love a one yr deal as I think this could benefit Wheels as a springboard to a multi year deal after it. It’s probably wishful thinking on my part, but man I’d be thrilled to have Wheels back. Motte..must be re-signed. I don’t see any reason why they won’t. He’s a perfect fit for them right now. 2-3 yrs, 2.5 AVV
Trade Georgy
for anything really. I just want him off the team lol. He sucks and when he’s in there I feel like we have no chance to win the game. They don’t need to pay the backup anything over a million bucks
Try to get back into the first rd at the draft
Unlikely and more wishful thinking, but maybe unload some pieces (ie-Gauthier, Georgy, prospects) and see if they can get a first round pick they lost in the Copp trade
Name a god damn captain
Idc who just someone have the C. They need one
Last one, if possible sign Patrice Bergeron
I see things where hes said Boston or retirement. Probably true (that was before Cassidy got fired) but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try to talk to him. You couldn’t hand pick a better addition for this team right now at this time. Maybe Drury can pull out some magic like he does and sway him to join the rangers to help us win a cup or two. It obviously needs to work with the cap. I get that it’s unlikely but I really think he’d be the last piece for a couple of years. Fall back would be Jonathan Toews (with money retained)

Kreider Zib Wheels
Panarin Bergeron Kravtsov

Motte Goodrow Blais

They don’t need or should they go nuts over the summer. No panic moves or anything like that. Peripheral moves, tweaks, adjustments. They are on a collision course with the SCF and it’s just a matter of when it will happen imo
Can’t wait for next year already |

Crazy idea. Rumors are the devils were open to shopping their #2 pick. Kakko + chytil + one of the d prospects for the #2 pick. Logan Cooley. There’s our C of the future. That actually opens cap space to fill out the roster for next year too. Cooley can play 3C in chytil’s spot if he’s not ready to center Panarin. Also gives room for krav/Othman/cuylle to compete for roster spots. |

There is no way Chytil should be moved now. I led that barrage. But I’m smart enough to realize he was pound for pound the best Ranger all playoffs, definitely the best forward. He just needs to work on faceoffs. The kid line needs to be just beginning imo, and lets watch it become a force

None of those guys have the potential that Cooley does but I get it |

Hopefully Kravs is going to play with the Rangers to rebuild that relationship and this isn't just for a trade. The kid line shouldn't be touched for at least another full season. Chytil elevated his game so much in just a couple months. Overall, it's hard to be mad at this year considering it was expected to still be a rebuild year with the possibility of making the playoffs. I imagine we've seen the last of Strome, hopefully we can lock up Copp. |

Vitali Kravtsov (one-year, $875,000, one-way contract) is headed back to the #NYR after an acrimonious departure early this season. Dan Milstein, Kravtsov's agent, said the 23-year-old had been in contact with the #NYR during his season in the KHL and wanted to return. |
|

Glad Kravtsov is coming back. Put the nonsense behind them and I think he’s going to be a real good player. I’d let Strome and Copp walk, and depending if Vatrano would be willing to sign a 1-2 year deal keep him or let him walk also. We have Othmann and Cullye competing for spots this year also.
I think Panarins game just doesn’t fit in the playoffs. Every time he entered the zone with the puck he would take it wide to avoid contact and then just throw it to the middle blindly. It’s possible he’s hurt more than we know and he was doing that to protect himself but come playoff time the fancy stuff usually doesn’t work.
I would look to add more size in the off-season, someone like Crouse. Doesn’t have to be Crouse but a player like him, has size and skill and plays with an edge.
Nils and Jones should be traded and figure out a way to get rid of Nemeth and Rooney.
I’d guess one of Othmann or Cuylle win a spot in camp.
We have to find a way to improve the 4th line. 2 goals in 20 games (and 1 was an EN). |

Yes, it is a crazy idea to trade the 2OA pick for that haul. Nothing against those players, but NJ needs a winger who can score regularly. We’re hoping we can use the pick for a guy like Nylander, Tchachuk (Calgary) etc. why wait 2-3 years for the 2OA to be NHL ready when you can slot a top liner next season.
For the right player(s), I would trade the pick but not for what you proposed. |

It’s kind of infuriating that he “wanted to return” when he shouldn’t have left in the first place! whatever it’s over with, hopefully it’s water under the bridge and he can be part of the solution |

Blais is also going to be a very interesting decision. He’s turning 26 next week, at best he’s a 3rd liner, at worst he’s on the 4th line. Would a 4th line of Motte Goodrow Blais be the answer with Reaves mixing in? Or do we look for an upgrade there.
Kreider Zib X
Panarin X Kravtsov
Laf Chytil Kakko
Motte Goodrow Blais
Reaves
Trouba Miller
Fox Lindgren
Schneider Robertson
Brendan Smith is also a UFA, I think he’d be a good pickup as a 7th dman. |

I could be on board with Smith coming back
I think they really like Blais and are really bummed they didn’t have him for the playoffs. I believe that series we just lost was the reason they traded for him, that kind of matchup. He is most definitely in their plans for a few years I’d think. Him and Goodrow are versatile and we need to have them move around where needed |

Toronto has to change their make up. I think there is enough evidence now to show they won't succeed as constructed.
I've heard rumblings already about Nylander being the one that could be moved. |
