I just think it’s funny how we’re the ones butthurt haha you guys know from being butthurt

You guys are gonna have a interesting off-season. 14 contracts signed and only 13m in space. If you guys can get through this and can add a piece or 2, gonna be a fun team to watch for the next bit

Two guys that will definitely be part of the mix that weren’t this year are Kravtsov and Blais and both will be cheap

I have not been paying much attention but is there going to be a press conference where they discuss the injuries etc?

So, who are the Rangers fans going to root for now?

Do they want revenge and want to see the Avs steamroll the Lightning?

Or, do they want to see the Lightning win so there's the idea that the Rangers got eliminated by a dynasty and it's a good measuring stick on progress so far?

So we dont resign Copp after everything we gave up?
- aecliptic

They will try. My only concern is he cracked more than 40 points once and it was this year. Is he a second line player or really good third line player?

I’d like to see Lightning fans deal with some pain lol you can win just be down 3-1 or something first

Y’all don’t know pain. You recovered from that sweep very quickly

I really think it doesn't matter so much.
I not saying I think this is what they SHOULD do, but they could shift things around and put Bread with Zibby and Kreider on RW., move the kid line up to take 2nd line minutes. And then put Copp in at 3C. If it works out, it takes a lot of pressure of Drury.

I want MacKinnon to lose on the biggest stage but also (frank) the Lightning.

Real Sophie's choice.

I called the Avs before the season started, so I'm sticking with them.

I don't dislike either team. I personally would love to see a 7 game series and whoever wins is fine with me.

next month the Rangers will be eligible to sign K'Andre and Lafreniere to contract extensions that would begin in 2023-24 if they choose to do so

Most of the current fanbase (and roster) have not felt prolonged pain and butthurt from extended losing.

The Lightning have a lot of low-info bandwagon fans who jumped on board when the Bolts started winning in the mid to late 2010's. Some of us old farts remember all too well when the Lightning were a joke franchise with sketchy, tight-fisted ownership and a reputation of being a cellar-dweller nobody wants to play for. Even the 2004 Cup came out of nowhere and then they went right back to sucking up the place for years.

But yeah, I "suffered" for about 10-12 years, had one season of glory, then suffered again for about 10 more years before the current juggernaut started to roll.

These new bandwagon fans are spoiled and clueless. Most of them don't even know what offsides is.

On a semi-unrelated note : the Lightning management contacted that Bolts fan who got knocked out at MSG. They sent him a bunch of free gear and swag. Good for him I guess, but it feels like rewarding douchebaggery. I would wanna know the whole story of what was said before that viral video started rolling. The guy didn't deserve to get knocked out like that, but he also might not deserve a bunch of free swag either. I'm a mega-Bolts fan too, and I've never been cold-cocked for talking smack in another team's house, so send me 2x the free swag.

That is pretty (frank)ing dumb. Let's reward some guy because he was enough of an bumhole to get knocked out. Obviously being a douche doesn't make him deserve being assaulted but he also doesn't deserve to be gifted free poop.

That was pretty much my feelings about it. It's a reward for being a douche nozzle. That Sandman knockout should have been reward enough.
