Doesn't appear they were interested or vice versa.

They could just be trying to throw off other teams. Haven't the Bills done that with some of their picks?

I would consider using the second round pick to get tyler brennan, best NA goalie in draft and then use the third rd pick to get topias leinonen, best euro goalie in draft

both goalies have size

They should literally draft at least one if not two goalies per year late. You never know what the heck happens with these guys.

I'm probably being over dramatic here.

I am in the Camp of 1 goalie a year, picked in rnds 3-5. If anything has proven the last few years with the Sabres is that you need viable options throughout your organizations, from ECHL up.

They didn't meet with a guy (apparently on purpose) but still drafted him

2012- 6th Ullmark
2013- 5th Petersen
2014- 3rd Johansson
2017- 2nd UPL
2019- 3rd Portillo

5 in 10 years, and 2 may not sign. Rebuilding the entire span with picks to spare. KA hasn't drafted 1 yet. Sometimes you have to wonder....

I am pretty positive the Levi will sign, but not having viable options has killed them for years

If they sign Portillo + Levi and draft one this year, I'd still want to draft another next year.

Def. Levi was like his draft pick. I can see him using a later round pick on one. Next year having two 2nds I would take one there too.

We've got three 2nds next year. BUF, PHI, and VGK.

Like a few folks have mentioned, take one every year. Having a couple of good goalies in the system wouldn’t be a bad problem to have at all.

I think Levi will sign after next season. But I wonder if the ongoing/pending investigation at Michigan may convince Portillo to go pro this year?

All the picks will be used and you will probably see the same team as last year.

Not even a slight goalie upgrade.

That’s all I really want.

My guess would be because Nashville has a top 5 goalie in the league who’s only 27 who’s very affordable. Doesn’t mean he’s available though, just they might listen.

They did just sign Askarov
So I’d think they’d wanna look at him up close for at least a year in the AHL before they’d move him

I agree, would be an interesting move. Don’t think it’s a viable one, at least not now
