Torts will be tough on Ivan, but let's get real here... he's not gonna be in the doghouse. RR too... Torts will play the heck out of both of them, no matter what.
Sanheim is the one that's in danger, because he's not "hard" enough in his own "endzone". - Tomahawk
That's good IMO. Sanheim will be forced to hit the gym and add some muscle. Kid has the tools to be much better than what he is if he had some muscle on him. I remember he was said to be a potential #2 guy as a prospect.

He wasnt fired. They mutually parted ways when his contract expired. There is hardly any info on most the coaches out there. Do you know who interviewed
Blashill, Cassidy(aside from Vegas and PHI), Tochett, Maurice, Tippitt, Deboer ect.
I know some guys interviewed with PHI but outside of that, nothing. I didnt even know Cassidy interviewed with Vegas until he was hired.
Torts walked away last season. He might have just wanted to take a year off. Coaching is a lot different than most jobs, theres always an opening at some point so it is not like guys are scrambling to find jobs - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Hqhaha
Thats corporate speak for respectfully saying he was fired |

Chicago trading DeBrincat doesn't make any sense anyway because they are trading away a player that they need to get back in the deal. - Glak18
Why would the Flyers do it anyway. I mean they probably would but should they? I'd say no.

The Athletic put forth a Provorov or Sanheim for Scheifele straight up trade.

Not comical at all! Its the right way to build the team ... - jd250
Seriously? Every day you provide humor. I wish I had a dollar for every time you screamed that the Flyers needed top 5 picks. Needed elite talent. Now you're agreeing that getting back to bubble status is the right way to build the team? I don't think you could be any more clueless or inconsistent.

What you are not factoring in here with this argument is the fact that you really need $1.86 to account for inflation making this practical. |

I see Laughton as the guy who could adapt and thrive under Torts.

If Provorov plays like he did last season, then Torts will not be impressed. The amount of puck handling errors he made was alarming.
This one in the final game summed up his year.

Less concerned with Provorov being unable to settle the puck there and more concerned with Attard just giving up and letting Tkachuk go on that play. If Tkachuk is playing LW, that’s Attard’s man. |

I'm predicting Josh Anderson to Philly ...... - Alexzanki
If we’re moving on from JvR, Anderson is exactly the player I’d be happy to have. Mind you, I have no idea what his deal looks like. |

Anderson is on 5.5 mill deal for a long time. He's a good player however Id stay away.
Anderson and Debrincat would be great players to have but teams are not just going to give these guys away. We dont have an excess of picks to move aside from maybe the 2024 1st from Florida and we dont have the prospect pool to be moving guys either. Debrincat is 24 so I wouldnt be too upset if we did move pieces for him but it does worsen out future situation. Anderson on the other hand is 28 years old. Not someone at this point in time I would want to move future assets for.

Laughton has already become a middle 6 guy averaging 33+ ESP per 82 games over the last four seasons. I don't know if there's much more head room left there.

Winnipeg already have a bunch of expensive LHD. It would have to be a bigger deal.

Rest In Peace Jay Greenberg. Outstanding writer and I miss him.
Torts and the Flyers are a pretty good match. A$$hole coach and an A$$hole team. And I meant that in the best possible way. Should be fun. Wish my team would jettison Ruff and hire a real coach... |
