Man, he made that I'm already rich comment before the Ukraine war.. I can't help but wonder how much of his accumulated wealth and assets have taken a hit because of it. So many sanctions put on Russia where no doubt some of his wealth is/was. He may want a bigger pay day than back when he made that comment. Fast forward to the end of the season he's saying something to the effect of good players get paid and I'm a good player. I wouldn't be shocked if he's not back next season, same for Tanger.

Oh, no doubt the Johnson signing and subsequent buyout was a terrible decision. My point is that RW has a habit of honing in on one thing and beating it to death.

You know what, I'm okay with that. The Flyers, by some accounts within the locker room itself, have been too passive and okay with losing. Before they start winning, they have to develop a mindset that losing is not okay, which I think Torts can help instill in them. I want them to be tough to play against; not in the way of fights, but in the way that teams come into Philly knowing that nothing is going to come easy to them. That's Tampa; you have to work for every inch of ice against them.

Yes, I am fully aware that Torts will be gone by the end of his 3rd year, but right now, they need to learn to be competitive with a better mindset. It's the guy after Torts who may get them back to possible contention.

Then again, Fletcher is the GM, so...yeah.
