Iirc, I was a big fan of trying to do everything the Canucks could, to get Byram, a 6'1 190 lb defenseman, you were the one telling me he was overrated.

You also believe that Jiricek is without a doubt a #1 D but I haven't seen that conveyed anywhere else otherwise he would most undoubtedly be going #1 in this draft.

If it's true that NJ is willing to give Jonny Hockey 10M a season for term. I don't see why they wouldn't do that for Miller also on an extension.

I don't like Slaf as much as someone. Not saying he is overrated but he's at 5 for me and not higher.

I think Slaf has the biggest bust potential of the top 5. But I think he could be a more physical Nichuchkin.

I like Jiricek better than Nemec. But Nemec is the safer pick with Jiricek already having a serious injury

Byron Bader analytics guy has been pretty harsh on Slaf. Saying he looks more like Nichushkin and Nich was good value at 10oa at 27 years old. Bader's highest profile of him is Rantanen who believe's is value of 3oa but Rantanen was the extreme outlier among the 405 similar profiles.

Corey Pronman has compared him to Rick Nash.

Nash was certainly worthy of #1 in his draft year but that wasn't the best draft in the end.

I don't think he's a bust but I think there's a lot of hype because he brings the dream of size and speed and skill potential.

Yeah, I think the Rantanen potential is a reach but I could see his ceiling being between Nichuchkin and Rantanen.

IF we got the 2 OA for Miller
Trade it to CBJ for the 6th and 12 OA
Then the Canucks have 3 firsts
Hopefully 1 of D Jirichek or Nemec at 6
C Marco Kasper at 12
and
D Pickering at 15
